Cleopatra Palace

This was our first visit to the Cleopatra hotel. We stayed for 11 nights in a standard room. The staff cannot do enough for you. The hotel is very clean and the pool is excellent. The staff seem to be cleaning all of the time. We got bathrobes and slippers. The bath towels/sheets are great. I asked for a kettle and this was delivered free of charge. I had to get a cup from the restaurant. The breakfast was excellent. Freshly squeezed orange juice and so many other types of juice. They also make smoothies up with your favourite ingredients. There is so much to choose from. There is a lady who plays the piano for an hour during breakfast. Plenty of sun beds and parasols. There is a pool for children and the main pool. No ball games/inflatables allowed. The pool bar is reasonably priced. The hotel was very busy but never noisy. It’s in a fantastic location next to Hard rock cafe. Looking forward to our next visit.

Loved every part of this hotel very clean and grand . Friendly warm welcome on arrival with a glass of Cava provided. Every member of staff we spoke to were polite and friendly. Rooms are very clean and spacious with comfortable beds ,cleaned daily. Lovely fluffy towels changed daily and amenities provided replenished when required. We loved the breakfast , good quality food with fresh squeezed orange juice and plenty of choice. A lady was playing the piano every day at breakfast time. No issues getting a sun lounger however there was a family down at 6:30 am for loungers 🤣 Water aerobics took place every day. Room service is available and reasonable priced too. The beach is right next to the hotel and wasn’t overly crowded. We will definitely return next year.

We have been here quite a few times 8+ even for our honeymoon. It’s a lovely spot and great sea views. The pool is nice great to relax and read and also good for lunch. I did always hear about it being tired and renovation work etc needed but It’s generally clean and can’t fault the view. This time however I felt the service which used to be amazing felt different, appreciate everyone’s busy but think next holiday will go somewhere else. I think they will be closing next year maybe for a big upgrade. Negative things on the holiday: One day came back to room and door wide open, the cleaners who are polite and lovely left door unlocked and open. Nothing was stolen, but felt panicked weird the card left in the room was also missing. New cards were issued. Next day room was cleaned but patio door was left open. The cleaners are lovely but just didn’t feel secure. The phone lead was broken and hanging out and also the fridge light flashed which sorted myself. After we had quiet neighbours near end of holiday we had a noisy neighbours who came back late at night smoking on patio and looked like a right mess next door. At. Night noises from 2 to six in morning like people were banging moving furniture around. I went back to room next day for some sleep as was tired and they were awake and being noisy. First time had this at my wits end I said that will see if can move rooms as was very tired. The man on reception initially was looking through me more interested in a minibus appearing behind me. He seemed professional but not friendly, explained the problem he asked about the banging. I said I wanted to move room but didn’t want confrontation as really the hotel should sort that. He said due to high occupancy there were no spare rooms, that they neighbours were staying longer than us?!?, and if any further issues with smoking/noise to let him know it was on record and they could post a note under the door. I didn’t want that as would make it worse as it was apparent he couldn’t help me I said would just use earplugs. I just felt the service was poor and I was not important as a customer. I don’t want to be a police person I just wanted some peace. We were leaving soon so I just thought probably won’t come back here. My wife when sorting her bag to leave sit her finger and has a small cut. We were leaving that morning and as we handed cards in she asked the lady at the desk if they had and bandages or could help. The lady didn’t want to help and said they had no bandages or anything to help. So bizzare that the hotel can’t help. Not sure if this is the new owners have changed the service as used to be great, or if the hotel is dying until they revamp. Good things are the location, comfortable beds if your neighbours are not loud, pool area is nice and water aerobics. Lunch area near pool is nice and spa and spa staff are lovely. Towel staff friendly. Bad things - is really at a point the rooms are falling apart, shower was either bc old or scolding. No first aid kit for small cuts, reception staff are on phones when could help people and obviously outcome of my complaint was not really any help. They did also have spare rooms as we went online and could book. Slight security concerns just make sure you can use the safe in the room. Three stars is fair location is lovely.

Everything was amazing!! The breakfast was incredible and the pool was so beautiful. The hotels in the perfect location too, right on the beach and near all the shops. Genuinely the nicest hotel I've stayed at in ages!

The hotel was lovely, I really loved the pool and the proximity to the beachfront. Also aqua fitness was amazing, the atmosphere was lovely and welcoming, the rooms were clean, overall great value for money and would come again for sure.
