Staff in hotel, so engaging and helpful. Maikel in reservations is amazing, was so understanding. Johnny helped me with luggage, taxis and always had a cheerful demeanor. The reception staff had great English and were able to explain all the questions I had. Breakfast food was broad and interesting- I didn’t get bored of it as so more choice. They even supplied milk for the tea drinkers. The restaurant Coal had most tender and perfectly cooked steak ever. Pool big and aqua aerobics available. Everything well thought out and staff wonderful.

After being dropped off outside on the main road by our tour operator and told to walk down the side of the hotel to reception we found ourselves lost, we asked staff at the side entrance how to get to reception and were redirected back up the hill onto the main road along the front an back down the other side of the hotel 🙈 this was a pretty bad way to start of our holiday especially with walking difficulties, then when we eventually found reception to discover staff at side entrance could of be more helpful and showed us through the hotel from that entrance. Check inn was pretty easy, staff were lovely and showed us to our room which was on the top floor with a splash pool. The room was big an comfortable although some furnishings were a little old we didn't mind. The balcony was huge with 3 sun loungers, table & chairs and still loads of space. We choose this room because of the splash pool & yet I didn't feel we got the full use from it. Every day someone came to sort the pool, either to empty it, clean it & refill it. This means someone was constantly in & out of our room pretty much the whole day. Some days it was late afternoon by the time the pool was refilled and we could relax. We even put the do not disturb on the door after the pool was redone one day thinking surely they won't have to do it again in the morning. No... at 8.30am our door was opened whilst still getting ready in the bathroom. We felt more comfortable going out for hours at a time still to be waiting for the water to refill when we got back. Definitely wouldn't choose this type of room again. Lesson learned. Otherwise we had a fabulous stay, the staff were lovely. Snack bar was very good value for money and the portion sizes where great. On checking out we discovered the hotel had smoking rooms along the 1st/ bottom floor, its not advertised, wish I would of known that. Would return again.

Had a wonderful week at the Cleopatra Palace, we had a double room with an amazing sea view. I would definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone. Staff go above and beyond to cater for your needs . It’s situated perfectly on the Golden mile, shops and restaurants galore to the back and a beautiful golden beach a few yards from the main entrance. As it says above the door “Heaven on earth “. Hope to be back soon!

5th or 6th time here. Dated. Rooms are mediocre. Swollen water damaged doors that won't close, same old furniture for the past decade+, Aircon noisy as bearings are worn out. Front door card entry temperamental. Noise - suffering Fk the noise! Ocean view is nice for the couple of hours you sit and look at it, but - the patio doors don't keep noise out. Any night time drinkers with a speaker on the beach - you hear. Disabled buggie reverse beeps, and alarms - you hear. Coaches dropping off at all hours of the morning - you hear. And the beach buggy, tractor noise at 0630 every morning, along with the beach bed fiddler - you hear! Sleep deprivation is a thing with an ocean view that you paid more for! The place is dated, other than new beds nothing has changed. The main foyer chandeliers are filthy, with bulbs that don't work. The bathrooms are sweatboxes, with rusty baths, small shower areas, and chipped sinks. Hairdryer on its last legs and wiring dodgy. Sound between rooms - you can hear farts, it's that poor. I'd forgotten all of that as it's been several years since the last visit - I wish I'd remembered as I'd have booked elsewhere! Breakfast selections have dropped standards drastically to the point I didn't bother for half the stay - fish options barely exist - and by barely, I mean almost never. As it's been bought by another hotel investment group, the lower standards are possibly down to that - grabbing cash for future revamp investment. Use of the Med next door is now charged. The staff are great as they always have been, they're the asset that the Cleopatra needs to keep, but the place is so 1990s, without revamp it's overpriced for what it is. A tad fur coat, no knickers! Those crowing about how good the Cleopatra is must never have stayed in a true 4 or 5 star. If you want a good sleep, take beach block or close to it and pool view, or go to the Med next door for a far nicer room at a lower price. I might be back when it's revamped, but it'll be a hard sell given the money I feel I wasted this time.

Ill start with the positive's- Location Breakfast View from room Part solution offered, some somewhat cared to a issue flagged in negatives. (a deep clean was done daily and another room offered) Negatives- Cockroach found in room (offered to change room but sister hotels in area, requested to be change to there and request denied) Staff don't really care, as mentioned in the above I flagged my partner was pregnant and there wasn't any further thought given. Staff member Oliver with comments like "Cockroaches are common here" and comparing snakes in Africa's so we should just be ok with cockroaches in the room ? Madness. Customers relation manager was nice but again, towed the company line. Email sent to group management not replied to. There was rain on September 26 and there was a large number of leaks in the lobby and break fast area/ the strange thing is, I enjoyed the hotel but holy god do you need to up your customer service.
