Gran Hotel Taoro

My husband and I have just spent a week in Taoro Garden Hotel. We arrived late at night and there was a lovely salad with bread and cheese and also a bowl of fruit. The gentleman on reception, sorry didn't get his name was very welcoming. Our room was on the 2nd floor with a view of Mount Teide and across the town below. We chose Half Board option, the breakfast was so varied, each morning we managed to have something different to eat. We chose to eat in the evening but had the choice to eat at lunchtime if we'd wanted to instead. We couldn't fault the food at all, there was always something that we were able to enjoy. The water for the table is charged at 2 Euros 30 which we thought was a bit pricey for a 500ml bottle. There was entertainment every evening, although it was varied, it wasn't to our taste, so we chose to go into town each night, walking down the 242 steps or going the pathway instead, taxi back was only 5 Euros. Personally we didn't think there was much of an atmosphere in the hotel. The pool area is very relaxing with plenty of Sunbeds. We would definitely return to this hotel, it was a very enjoyable holiday and all the staff were brilliant.

Just got back from staying here .the hotel lovely and clean .food was lovely .lovely pool and always a sunbed available.staff friendly .plus a free shuttle bus to the centre

Service could improve. The receptionist was so rude when I asked for a air conditioning solution. That ws the big issue the hotel had the room air conditioning wasn’t working good. Food great and also cleanness

Absolutely superb hotel if you like to relax and chill. Staff are first class and the rooms are beautiful. Food is excellent for an all inclusive package with great varied every day. 10min walk from the main town although it is down 317 steps but a taxi is €8 from the hotel and €5 to come back. Massage service, pool and gym all first class. Special mention to the activities team for varied and fun things around the pool, all with the chance of winning a free cocktail! Looking forward to visiting again

I had a lovely relaxing stay at Taoro Gardens, The staff were very friendly, the food was good and the pool was delightful with plenty of sunbeds. The hotel is spotlessly clean. There is, however, no air con in the lobby or ground floor bar which is disappointing really. The air con in the rooms turns off when you leave your room which results in a hot room on return, making sleep difficult so not ideal. The air con is also noisy when cranked up to high. I think that decent air con is a basic requirement which is why I gave a rating of a 3 star.
