Hotel El Duque

We have stayed at this hotel twice and both times have been absolutely amazing! We are very happy with all the staff and especially. (Ismael the entertainer) We are so pleased that we are planning on coming back in 2028. So anybody that is planning a visit to here please give a big shout out to ismael. Book now you won't be disappointed! 😁😁❤️❤️

Still currently here as I write this, I’ve never left a bad review before for a hotel! As a family we’re pretty laid back and don’t expect 5star service when booking a 4 star hotel.. HOWEVER, we also don’t expect to book an all inclusive holiday and have to eat out every night! There is literally hardly any choice for children and the rest is a bunch of basic slop, cockroaches literally everywhere which again is expected when away in a hot climate, but not squashed against the corroding elevator ceiling or running across the restaurant counters! There is also no air con ANYWHERE.. but you are given the option to spend another €150 to rent one for the week.. (how convenient) One positive is that the pool is large and has great accessibility for children regarding depth etc overall.. I’m so disappointed and this is the only time I’ve ever felt the need to write a negative review for a hotel before.

Just come back from here. Costa Adeje as a resort is lovely lots to see and do. Would not overly recommend this hotel. We went self catering so cannot comment on drinks and food from all inclusive. Did have drinks and food from menu which was all very good. Not many options close to the hotel open before 12 for breakfast which I thought was really odd for a holiday resort. Rooms very dated and no aircon. I would not have booked if I realised no aircon as 30 plus degrees. We did manage to loan an aircon unit which was 90 euros for a week. Pool opens at 10am each day so all sunbeds chained up until about 15 mins before. Again a bit odd not something I have ever seen. For the price I feel you could get a basic apartment in a better location closer to Fanabe beach.

Just returned from a 7 night stay. Stayed in a superior apartment, 1 adult and 2 children. Apartment had air con(standard do not have this so best booking superior). No complaints. Buffet food was decent, Managed to eat in restaurant most days always found something to eat. They switched up the options nearly every night which made a difference. Not a drinker so can’t comment on alcohol although did try a daiquiri from all inclusive and it was vile, just syrup really so would avoid. All staff were lovely - reception/dining/entertainment/cleaners everyone was always friendly and helpful. Great location. Costa adeje markets right outside on a Thursday and Saturday. 10/15 minute walk to beaches. El duque shopping centre right outside hotel gates, has a pharmacy/dino supermarket/clothing/perfume shops etc as well as restaurants and bars. Pool was great we only used the big one but boys had plenty of fun. Would return again. Only down fall would be that all inclusive bands are cut off at check out 12pm, if you have a later flight like us then you have to pay for food/drinks etc on your last day. Also there is a gym in the hotel grounds but not free for guests. €15 per entry. My eldest attended multiple times and I think it’s awful that guests have to pay that rate to use the facilities.

This our second here now, we just done 10 days and we loved every minute of it. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They accommodated all our requests and needs. We stop self catering but the prices for food and drinks are very reasonable for a hotel. We stop in a one bedroom apartment which was cleaned every day, bed and towels every 3 days. The hotel is a bit dated but it’s well looked after and very clean. They look after the ground and pool area very well, constantly cleaning and painting areas. Our rooms had no air conditioning which we knew before arriving but we hired air con unit for €105 for our stay which was well worth it. The only downside I would say for us with travelling with young children is the night entertainment mini disco could do with been early and lasting longer. Location brilliant got plenty of restaurants just outside main gate and supermarket. It’s about 10 minutes walk to seafront. We had no issues with brown water or cockroaches. Would recommend for all ages. We will definitely be back.
