Alua Atlantico Golf Resort

My husband and I have just come back from a week at this hotel with our 3 children (ages 10,17 and 19). We had a fantastic time. Our two rooms were lovely and well sized. Staff were friendly and helpful. Entertainment staff were fabulous and on point at all times. Lots to take part in. Family friendly resort. Only warning is that the pool area can be a bit slippery at times but not to be unexpected. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

We were so impressed with this hotel and would definitely book to stay again! We have just come back from a week's all inclusive holiday here with our 4 year old daughter, end of August and beginning of September so I think some schools are back in the UK. The hotel gave a very high-class feel from the moment we arrived, beautiful setting and clean, and every staff member we encountered was lovely, friendly, helpful and appeared genuinely happy and couldn't be more accommodating! We stayed in a suite in block 4 and the room was amazing! So much room, clean, lovely design, and all the amenities needed (kettle, fridge, safe, shampoo and shower gel, cups, tea and coffee, bottled water). It was our honeymoon and so we also arrived to a bottle of sparkling wine in our room free of charge, which we thought was a lovely touch and were very grateful for! The cleaners come around every day but aren't intrusive at all if the do not disturb sign is on the door and you're still in bed. They still magically manage to get in, clean, make beds, reset towels etc when you're out of the room. There are multiple pools, all warm and lovely to swim in. We never had any issues with sun loungers the whole time we were there and always found some where we wanted to go every time we went down to the pool. Lots of umbrellas and things for shade when you wanted it as well. There was SO much entertainment on. Throughout the day and the evening. The app was really good to check what was on each day and there was a great range suitable for all ages to enjoy. The children's disco was fun, there was acrobatics, a magic show, silent disco, dancers, live musicians, bingo, and during the day there's volleyball, aqua aerobics, football, high ropes etc. Honestly couldn't be more to do! We loved the food. I loved that there is a chef cooking fresh things for each meal - stone baked pizzas, chips, pasta and various meats during dinner and omelettes, eggs, hash browns and churros during breakfast. There are also an abundance of other options across the buffet from cheese and cold meat boards, salad bar, risotto, various soups, various cooked potatoes and vegetables, breads, bruschetta, and lots of dessert options with ice creams always! The options were perfect for us and we always had so much we wanted to eat, even for our neurodivergent child with severe food aversions, there were several safe food options and we couldn't have asked for better. The bars and snack bars are great. Lovely to have food by the pool. The snack bar at the main side of the hotel does have more variety available with sandwiches and salads as well as chips, burgers and hotdogs, but both very easy to get from and always well stocked up. There were SO many drink options and I was very impressed with the cocktail list and slushy cocktails!! Have not seen that many on offer at any other all inclusive. My daughter also loved the games room! €2 per game but it was worth it with how happy she was on the motorcycles and getting tokens. Like many others, when we were getting excited to come on our holiday I read the reviews on here and was mildly concerned about a couple of bad reviews... however my gut instinct was right in assuming these were probably written by people who look for negatives and focus on one or two inconvenient things rather than all of the positives and enjoying their holiday. I was expecting to see a slip and slide by the pool, however the reality was that there were always children running around when we were down there (who probably shouldn't have been) and I still didn't witness one slip over. I bought grippy swimming shoes for my own daughter and she never had a problem. I did notice some of the tiny tiles missing from the pool purely because I'd read about it on a review before coming; but if I hadn't had read it, I probably wouldn't have noticed as it doesn't affect use at all, and so I didn't give it a second thought. The food was great and there were different options for the main meals each day. The token system for the drinks is brilliant, saves empty (or half full) cups everywhere and we never struggled getting drinks, no big queues and the little queues we did experience went down super quickly with multiple people working on the bars. A separate line to get tokens back too at the end of the evening so no queuing for that with people still drinking. The no floatie rule is well advertised on the app and pool information and is a safety thing which lifeguards enforced the whole time we were there. Our daughter had arm floaties and a rubber ring, which were never a problem as these were swimming aids and she had them in the shallower pool. Honestly we loved this hotel and were already looking at holidays to come back next year while we were still out there! Definitely felt 4*. Don't let the negative reviews worry you. As with anything, it is what you make it, and there are soooo many positives with this hotel to be impressed with. Extra tips: -the shop opposite block 4 is much cheaper than the supermarket next to the Chinese takeaway outside the hotel... walk a little further and save some money as well as having more options. - we booked a boat excursion with the company in the hotel lobby next to the front desk which was FANTASTIC. Maxicat catamarans. So easy to book, a transfer bus that picks you up (quite a bus journey though as he picks up from other hotels too) drop off right at the boat. A 3 hour boat trip including unlimited drinks, including beer and sangria and soft drinks, and lunch, which was paella, vegetarian rice, and nuggets an chips for children. It's a whale spotting trip so they take you to a protected area and we saw hundreds of pilot whales! So wonderful to see them in the wild where they belong rather than in tiny tanks at water parks. We also spotter loggerheads turtles and other trips they often see dolphins too. They then take you to a little bay where you get half an hour swimming straight off the boat. And for only €46 it was such good value for money! Would definitely recommend. Thank you so much for our stay Alua Atlantico Golf! It was brilliant.

All Great ! Friendly staff, clean rooms, delicious food. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time; the hotel grounds were very clean, and there were several pools. We visited in late August and early September, so there were no issues finding sun loungers by the pools.

I bought a pair of glasses from the on-site hotel shop for exactly €20. They looked fine at the time, but within 48 hours they basically fell apart — the join at the bridge of the nose came apart, so it appeared to be a fault rather than normal wear. I went back to the shop, showed what had happened, and politely asked for a like-for-like replacement (not a refund). The shop owner refused and accused me of multiple things — first that I must have stepped on them, then that I’d twisted them to break them. She then said that because she wasn’t with me when they broke, I “couldn’t prove” they were faulty, and added that in her 10 years running the shop she’d never seen a fault like it. The owner’s response felt overly aggressive and completely uncalled for, especially given I stayed calm and polite and was only asking for a straightforward swap. Posting this as a warning to other guests: you may be better off buying items like this elsewhere.

Spent 10 nights here and loved it especially as some of the reviews gave me concern. Stayed in block 1 very little noise from round about room was a nice size with nice sized balcony . Food was very good and a good choice every day with different meats and fish rotating every day as well as pizza pasta salad cheese breads soup ect self service juice beer and wine in restaurant pool bars and a snack bar by the pool. Hotel was very busy and this can be reflected in the dining rooms so loved the alacarte that was included in stays over 7 days Tokens needed to get reusable cup for you drinks however from what I could see if you brought your own cup the bar would put your drink in that The surrounding area was beautiful and you are right in front of the coast with great views of the mountains
