This hotel is in a prime location direct to beach and bars, restaurants, and shops. BUT has not had touch of change since it was built in the 70's for the invasion of package holidays. It is far from 4 star, more less 1 star. Its a shame, the staff which I believe is family run are great, friendly and helpful and the cleanliness of the hotel is excellent. But every thing is tatty, shabby and in need of repair. Lots of stairs to entrance, found later there is a lift to pedestrian area but you have to enter via the kitchen and ride up the lift. Same when going downstairs to restaurant in evening, have to ride down and go through kitchen to enter restaurant!! Our bedroom had 3 beds in each of the 3 rooms we booked even though there was only 2 people in each, Other guests who had booked single occupancy also had 3 beds in theirs, making small rooms even smaller. Our bathroom sink kept getting blocked needed lunging regular. The very good wardrobe and drawer space was let down by the drawers dropping on its runners. No coffee/tea making in room. A old fridge seen better days, Hairdryer in bathroom no nozzle on end and kept getting very hot. had to plug it in to work, no on or off switch. The "buffet" breakfast is poor for hot food, allowed one rasher of streaky bacon (cut in two) and one tiny sausage(slashed down the middle to make 2) allowed two eggs, fried, boiled or scrambled, no other hot food. continental, cereal and cakes are plentiful. Coffee machine good. Evenng meal "buffet" is portion controlled by staff, not help your self, which is good to reduce waste, but intimidating with the supervision. The pool are is very very poor, dirty and old, yet pool water is crystal clear. hardly anyone used it. The beach is great and have free private sunbeds to the hotel. Lastly we did not know that the resort closes end of September, so 95% of the area was closed as were most of the hotels, hence it was very quiet and boring at night. Some guests had booked till 5th of October and had to move to another hotel for 5 days!!!! HANG YOUR HEAD IN SHAME TUI group.

We had a great time at this hotel. First the positives: The staff are absolutely brilliant - so friendly, welcoming and helpful! We were always greeted with a smile and a professional attitude. You can tell that all the staff are working to the same goal and want this hotel to succeed. They really were fantastic. The location is perfect. The beach is a stones throw away, with lovely sun loungers to use for free. Both the beach and the sea are lovely. The hotel is seconds from the main shopping area and you can easily walk to the bus stop to take you to the port, for further (easy) travel to Venice and the islands. The food was 1st class. We all found things we enjoyed, each evening. A wonderful selection of salads and vegetables at dinner, lovely ice cream and other desserts and the main dishes were always varied. Breakfast was also good, with a plentiful selection. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The ladies who clean the rooms do a great job and we always felt we were spending time in a very clean building. Unfortunately there are a couple of not so good bits - the owners/management really need to do something about the pool area! It was such a let down. It really detracted from the other brilliant parts of the hotel. The blocked paved surface is uneven with weeds growing through the cracks. We tripped a few times. The walls need painting, with all the paint currently grimy, cracked and peeling. The planters are full of weeds. The plastic tables and chairs are old and dirty. It really doesn't match the care shown in the rest of the hotel. We couldn't understand it. There is a man who seems to be employed to maintain the area but he didn't seem to be doing much work but rather spent his time smoking and talking on his phone. It wouldn't take much to improve the area and it is confusing why the management think it is acceptable. When compared to all the other hotel pools you can see from the beach, it really is disappointing. If the sea wasn't so wonderful, it would have spoilt our holiday. The hotel does need some renovation. I don't think any of the rooms or the furniture have been updated since it was built and although everything is kept very clean, it all looks very old and tired.

I'd been here before so knew what to expect. Some new bicycles since last year, otherwise pretty much the same. Excellent location and a good sized swimming pool: weather was 32-36C every day and clear skies so no chill factor. Staff are very helpful, I had one very minor issue (no sink plug when I arrived) which was rectfied quickly. Food as I expected: I'd describe it as good with exceptional when it comes to breakfast. The guy cooks your eggs, bacon etc. in front of you on a hotplate; you cannot get any better than that. The coffee from a machine is more than acceptable (this is Italy after all) and then there's croissants, a charcuterie section, fruit... This might sound bizarre, but if possible I would choose bed and breakfast. It's not that the food isn't good (it is) but 7-30pm is a little early and there are so many restaurants close by that would be nice to try.
