Bolivar Hotel

We stayed in the family room (4 beds) which is extremely small. Bathroom is impossible to turn around in with the shower cabin in which you can't bend over to reach for the soap (I am a petite person). We enjoyed an eaely check in but were told upon arrival that we need to pay additionally for the air conditioning which is a must with July temperature and the room facing west. We were charged 6euro a day for the AC. lbPool area is small but nice. If you are staying on uper floors riding a lift could ve a challenge since it can take only 3 people so you might have to wait a while. Breakfast nice but not varied, self-service. Restaurant lacks AC which makes it super hot during diner time. Diner takes forever to be served (hour to hour and a half every evening) Cleaning lady nice, professional, helpful. Beds comfortable. Smoking allowed on balcony. Location is great, bus stop behind the hotel.

Just returned from a week stay at the Bolivar, Found the hotel very pleasant, Very clean, Rooms a little on the small side but well equipped. the staff are all very pleasant. Breakfast wasn't a great deal to chose from but adequate. Only downside is the steps upto it .

Set one street back from the beach, where it has its own section of sunbeds, this hotel is a little gem. It’s on the main strip amid lots of nice shops, restaurants and bars. Great location from which to explore Venice. Buy a combined bus & boat ticket from La Gioconda Tabacchi just across the street. Lady there will also sort out payment of tourist tax if required. Buses to Punta Sabbioni run along the street at the back of the hotel, from there hop on a water bus to Venice or the other islands. Hotel Bolivar is spotlessly clean. Rooms ending 04 and 05 are at the front with a sea view. Rooms ending 13 and 14 are at the back overlooking the garden and small pool. Avoid Rooms ending 03, 06, 12 & 15 as these are the very small single rooms without a balcony. Breakfast is buffet style with a good choice of hot & cold food. Choice also at Evening meal, although I chose to eat out most nights. This is a great value budget hotel to which I would happily return.

This hotel is a no-go. The rooms were tiny. The bedding was old and pilled. The first room I was placed in was like a closet and the second was not a better room, but it had more space. The food we were served at the hotel was very poor quality, some type of beef in a sauce that resembled ketchup. Overall, this hotel was terrible. What I enjoyed was the short walk to the beach. Though it was chilly weather, seeing the water was delightful.

Just back from a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff is very welcoming, both on reception and in the dining room. Giselle looked after me well at breakfast and dinner time. I had a single room which did not have balcony but I knew that in advance. Comfortable single bed, modern bathroom and a TV with a great selection of channels. The buses to the bus station and to Punta Sabbioni run from the street behind the hotel. The beach which is wonderful is a 3 minute walk from the hotel and there is a nice bar there called 32 Rossini. Nearby is the Hotel Milton which has a lovely outdoor area to the front called The Terrace where I often had drinks prior to dinner back at Hotel Bolivar. I thought the food was delicious with decent variety, both at breakfast and dinner. I went half board and I was delighted I did. In terms of what you pay for this hotel when compared to what other hotels are charging in this area of Lido Di Jesolo, it is very good value. My only gripe is that the WiFi does not work in the rooms which is a bit annoying.
