Hotel Harrys

The bed was rock hard, the breakfast the worst i have ever known. The kind other hotels send for pig food, yet you could buy a lovely breakfast in front of hotel. The reception was 1970's kwerky but not very practical for any kind of help or advice. The pool was great, refreshing and hotel ideally situated on the main , laid back main road and close to beach. But i got the impression the some staff only happy getting your money. Had mussels mariner, 12 mussels 10 closed, it was sent back to kitchen no apology and it came back 7 closed and 2 broken, so we decided to leave it but was still charged for it. But their milkshakes made with gelato ice cream where amazing said my wife. We kept quiet as we still had several days to go but when wife became ill not a lot of empathy. The resort rep for Jet2 was awful too. There was a strike, he failed to tell anyone. He scared many people from visiting Venice alone, selling them trips saying the buses might be too full, go earlier than normal, don't miss ferry if bus is late or you'll have to pay again etc etc. It was actually easy to travel. Resort great, laid back, lovely beach, not a lot to do but with trips to Venice and Verona and you can visit Treviso and Padua easily a great beach holiday where you can get some culture too.

A lovely spotlessly clean family run since 1960s hotel. Food and drink prices within the hotel are very reasonable The lady at breakfast makes you welcome and is fun The owners work from morning to night and are so nice and helpful Loved our stay a large pool very clean area and pool loo The hotel is a stones throw from the beach ,tobacconist across the road sells bus tickets to explore up towards jeselo centre or the opposite way to Puerto Sabbioni where you catch the ferry if you want to visit Burano , Murano & Venice . Timetables on bus stops easy to read Ticket machines for day travel passes available at the ferry port for multiple boat stops ( can set them to English ) These do not include bus up and down the Lido but the cost is a few euros only but returns at the tobacconist shop keeps it simple . The bus to go either way is at the back of the hotel also bus to lido auto station where a half hourly bus goes to the airport for 6 euros all very easy . We took a taxi to the bus station 20 euros then just hopped on the bus to the airport. Highly recommend Hotel Harry’s everything was so accessible from here and we had the beach for relaxing days .

Location good, hotel very clean and lovely service. Food great however I found the pasta starters were plenty and very tasty. Pizza's great. Lovely pool area. Good price and would return. Easy to get to using public transport. Bathrooms are modern and I found hair dryer okay. Rooms a bit old fashion however had plenty of coat hangers and even coat hooks

The reception area was like something from the sit com "Faulty Towers". Strange and outdated, cluttered display greeted us. Everything seemed to be had written and no modern facilities.. From the moment to our rooms we arrived we were disappointed. The rooms our party of 4 had between us were small and cramped. We had asked for twin beds but got doubles which had to be seperated there and then. The rooms were so small we had to step onto the balcony so the team could have enough room space to do the job of splitting the beds. There was little or no storage space for toiletries etc so it was difficult to keep the small space tidy. The rooms, including the bathrooms are shabby and need an update. Although clean, the bathroom had a strange odour as the shower curtain did not dry out. There was no tea or coffee making facilities in thr room and there was the tiniest of television i have ever seen. This was wall mounted so high up that it was difficult to view. The public area in the bar area was the only place to be when it rained but it was used as the staff's children's living room, so there was the feeling of being in their way when you sat there for a tea or coffee.

The hotel provides a good standard throughout and exactly what I expected from a 3 star hotel. However my holiday there was ruined by crippling back and hip ache due to the extremely poor mattresses. I am 78 and never experience any issues when I am at home. Probably fine for younger guests, but I won’t be going back again.
