Hotel Jasminum

Very helpful customer service, well-furnished rooms though tiny bathroom. Sunbeds are great, sea is close by. Breakfast is full - fulfill all needs! Loved the scrambled eggs and geeman wholmeal buns .

Firstly, I had booked a single room which is very small and later requested a bigger one, so reception staff recommended a “smart” room. The photo showed two beds, cost more and I booked it. When I got here and saw the room I was shocked as it was the exact same size as the single, except it had a bigger bed (not two as in photo) so really cramped and hardly any room to move around, so worse than the single. I complained to the manager who was able to offer me a single one again, as no double rooms were available at this point. The bathroom was really small and old, but I had no choice. * The photos are deceiving and hotel staff give you the wrong information about the rooms. Secondly, the hot food at the breakfast buffet was ALWAYS cold. There were several waiters standing around doing nothing and they would never clear the table when you were done with a dish, so dirty dishes with scraps would stay on the table the entire time you were at breakfast. If you complained about anything the staff became confrontational. * Not a pleasant breakfast experience. Thirdly, one of the ladies at reception handed me an electric bike and failed to explain that if you stop for a length of time, the battery would turn off and you have to turn it back on, and neglected to show me the switch. When I stopped somewhere 8 km away, the bike turned off and I was not able to find the switch to turn it back on. I had to pedal a very heavy bike 8 km back without power. It was HORRIBLE and DANGEROUS as it was very difficult to handle and hard to push. At one point I even fell! Fortunately I did not break any bones, but am badly bruised. When I got back I was very upset and explained to the lady what happened. I was shocked that she did not even say sorry and showed no concern whatsoever for my injuries. When I told her she should at least apologize she said that she has nothing to apologize for. WOW! I got angry at her and she started yelling back at me. * Incompetent and arrogant staff! Fourthly, there is a bad TOXIC smell of cleaning products everywhere in the hotel which made me sick…nausea, headache, sore throat. If you have an intolerance for chemical smells, stay away! * Unhealthy environment.

Everything was prefect and the staff was always there to help you. I like the remodel that was done and really freshened the facilities up. To include the private beach, within walking distance is a big plus. The breakfast was great with a wide variety of choices.

We stayed for a full week, breakfast included. The are several good things about this hotel: Close proximty to a lovely beach, with sunbeds included. Friendly and helpful personnel. Quiet streets. However, given that this hotel has 4 stars, I would expect nicer rooms, better breakfasts and a more fresh overall feel and look. This is the reason for the average rating. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay, and the price is okay.

Booked this hotel as a last minute get away, the deal was amazing, for the price we paid we did not expect much, however we were very impressed, great location only 4/5 mins walk from the beach and the sun lounger. We took advantage of the free bikes and cycled in to the centre of Bibone each day, this took around 20 minutes each way which was perfect fo us. the staff were very helpful and curious. We also had a nice balcony with a sea view.
