Karinzia

The Karinzia was one of the better value hotels we looked at. We booked it with the knowledge that there may be compromises. However, there were few. The staff was friendly and helpful. The property was clean and well- maintained. The room was not exactly spacious and we had to ask for more coat hangers twice before we got some - it's a common gripe that hotels generally don't provide enough. It also didn't look like the photos online - not quite as smart. Perhaps we got one of the pre-facelift ones. I have never seen a bidet actually in the shower before, but that is where it was. Should the need have arisen, we could have washed our hair and our bottoms simultaneously . The hotel has bikes, which is a plus. Caorle is flat and getting about by bike is handy. They are well-maintained. The only major grumble was some noise. The air conditioning was responsible for 75% of it; it rattled, clunked, hummed and chattered. The other guests provided the remaining 25%. But it's a family hotel, so you have to expect these things. Breakfast was fine, with reasonable choice. But if you're a fruit lover you'd better like melon, grapes and pineapple because you'll have them daily. The coffee, from a machine, isn't as good as it should be in an Italian hotel. The allocated section of beach is quite adequate. Caorle's beach is unusual in so far as there is a lot of space between the promenade and the sea. With the sun beds near the sea, there is something vaguely military beachhead about it. But at low tide there are warm pools of water where toddlers and happy small dogs can play safely. In summary, the Karinzia is a very competent and good value hotel, in a tidy and family friendly town.

- Great location, beachfront, short walk to centre - good size rooms incl. minifridge; well equipped, however no luxury - very clean ( both rooms and overall hotel) - extremely friendly and welcoming hotel staff, esp. Donatella in reception - child friendly with child seats in restaurant, child seat for free rental bikes, etc. - most rooms with balcony and sea view, however our room had neither - good quantity and quality breakfast - private beach with assigned sun chairs and umbrella Areas for improvement: - hotel entrance right at street level; small children can easily run outside and get hit by a car - roof terrace was closed (assume due to Covid?) - elevator very slow, sometimes up to 5 min waiting time

Great hotel across the road from the beach ,where we had free beds.Less than 10 minutes walk into the old town. We had a seaview on 4th Floor. As rooms go in Italy it was a very good size.It had a small fridge.It has a great Roof terrace with a Jacuzzi and loungers.Free bicycles available every day. Food was very good and staff in restaurant very friendly. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.Reception area/Barman spoke very good english.As a 3* hotel it was excellent and we would stay there again.

Visited as a family with 2 small children (0.5 and 2.5 years). Very nice staff. Extra bed in room and table in restaurant with child chair provided. Very good breakfast with great choice. But the dinner was only OK from my point of view. In Italy, I have expected a little bit better food, pasta, etc. Beautiful authentic city center of Caorle not far away by foot - nice in the evening. Beach directly across the street. Good for children as very flat water, but not good if you want to swim.

the location is very good, we had a nice room with river view. room was well equipped, and big enough. The beach area was looking good, very big. What i missed is a garage, or parking lot at the hotel, you have to walk a little bit, but they have free space in the front of the hotel, where you can stop until you take your bags in. Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Katarine, she was very good! (Next time you should visit budapest :) ) I will definetly recommend this hotel!
