Pareus Beach Resort

All in all great service and relaxing. Family with 3 kids (5, 13, 16) and all appreciated the pool area and possibility to go down to the beach close by. The reson why it is weak 4 are: -pool not heated (at least it was very cold), should be possible with solar heating -the padel course are not close by, need to go by car for 10 min (we could perhaps have looked in to this beforehand) -the construction work and the sound of it during week days was very loud, not only to our appartment, but foremost to the pool area. We would off course consider to come back, a lot thanks to the kind and service minded personell and closeness to Caorle who was great to spend the evenings at.

We spent six nights in late June 2022 at the Pareus Resort. Our goal was to travel without a rental car, so we took the night train from Germany to Venice Santa Lucia, spent half of the day in Venice and then took the regional train to S. Donà di Piave (side note: ALWAYS make sure to validate your ticket in Italy, even if you bought one for a specific train!). But in contrast to the description on the Pareus Resort website, there were no Taxis waiting to take tourists to other destinations. We thought we came prepared and ordered a Taxi via the itTaxi app. When the angry driver arrived almost half an hour later, he was not happy that we called him and told us that he was the only driver in the area and that it would take him at least an hour until he could pick us up. We then called the Pareus Resort reception, which sent us a driver who took us on an adventurous, reckless ride to the resort. It cost 70€, but we were really happy that they helped us out. If you plan to make your trip without your own car, I’d suggest you request a taxi from a Caorle-based company in advance which we did on our way back. It was a little cheaper (60€) and the driver arrived perfectly on time. There is also a bus service in the area, but it will take more than one hour and you still have to walk quite a bit. When we arrived at the resort, we were greeted by the lovely local staff and received our silicon straps that functioned as NFC keys to the resort‘s gates and our house. We were situated at a ‚Superior’ house which I assume refers to the fact that it is located on the second floor and not to any superior level, as those were the ‚Villa mare‘ that also come with some additional benefits. Our house was nice for two people and a dog, but I definitely think it would be way to small if you intend to stay with more than four people. The beds were nice, but there are only four of them, so be prepared to sleep on a couch if you plan to come with more people. The kitchen is okay, but again, a little small and not enough cutlery for more than four. Unfortunately, the front of our dish washer nearly came off as there was a loose screw. Every room has its own air conditioning, so the house stays cool even on hot summer days. However, we soon discovered that condensation built up below the machines and the walls were really wet. We even discovered mold on the ceiling above the air conditioner in the living room/kitchen, which was really concerning. Another downside: the internet is just awful! Normally I would not care, but I had a very important Zoom Meeting scheduled on the second day of our trip that I was not able to postpone. And it was a nightmare. The wifi randomly disconnects every few minutes and it’s not even enough to enjoy a movie on Netflix in the evening. Unfortunately, the cellular connection was even slower. Not ‚high speed‘ at all, as advertised by the resort. The pool area is really nice, but definitely mainly intended for kids as it is rather on the small side and only 90-135 cm deep. It is also a pity that it is only open until 6 p.m. as it would make a really nice location to spend an evening/sunset. We only used it once. The beach is located around 150-200 meters from the resort which has its own private area. The BaiaBlu Beach Bar is located right next to it and there is music playing on some evenings that can also be heard from the resort, but that’s alright. The beach is really nice and clean and if you come at the right time (in the morning or early evening) there is a very good chance that you have the whole area for yourself. I personally think this is one of the benefits of the resort, but for some people it might also be a downside: it’s located quite far from Caorle city center, so there are less tourist, but also fewer restaurants, cafés and other attractions. In the end it really depends on what you are looking for, but we actually enjoyed being a little away from the main attractions. There is a supermarket in walking distance, approximately five minutes from the resort. And you will definitely need it on day one. The starter kit that was advertised and provided by the resort contained a tiny 1 g (!) paper bag of salt and pepper, so even if you came prepared with some pasta for your first evening as we did, the things that they supply is not helpful at all. For the premium prices that you pay, I would have expected a little more. We cannot really recommend any of the restaurants in the area, as the food we had there was only average. We ended up cooking for ourselves on most days. On some days there was a really unpleasant smell coming from the nearby canal as well as from the drains on the streets of the resort. It did not bother us that much as we spent most of our days on the beach, walking our dog in the nearby area or inside the house, but at some days we were not able to enjoy the evening on the balcony due to the smell. Dogs are allowed in the resort for a small fee, but don’t expect any special service for them. We did not find any of the advertised dog beaches on our side of the Fiume Livenza, but that might be our fault. The staff at the resort is really polite and always there to help you out, but when we checked out and told the receptionist about the mold on the ceiling, the bad wifi and the smell from the canal/drains they were just like ‚Oh‘ - and that was it. I would have expected at least some sign of regret, but maybe they are used to these complains. If you are a family of no more than four, plan to spend your holiday with some privacy, don’t care about bad internet or bad smell on some days, than this might be suitable for you. As long as you don’t have to deal with mold on the ceiling of your apartment as we did. We will not come back as - in our opinion - the resort is definitely not worth the premium prices that they charge.

The resort is always a wonderful place for relaxation, enjoyment and sports! The team is motivated and makes the stay an unforgettable experience, thank you to everyone who spoiled us again this time 🙏

Beautiful place with beautiful apartments just steps from the sea, neat, clean and well organized. Very nice green setting in which it is located, with gardens and bike paths.
