The entertainers were very nice and the children's disco in the evening was very nice. The water polo game was also very well organized, especially Mukkiele was very nice. The only thing that was not good were the unfriendly SECURITY men who were looking for a fight for no reason

First of all I would like to comment on the things that worked though it was flawed to some extent: - The new swimming pool was pretty good though there were small things they should have done better. For an example there were no joints in the edge of the swimming pool and there were sharp edges on the small lights in the swimming pool. Small things but very symptomatic. - The mobilehomes were alright. They have definitely been neglected but are not old enough to be decayed yet. Also all of the household goods worked though extremely low quality. - The supermarket had a fine selection of groceries. This is the main part of my review as I feel that the overall experience of the place was lousy. - Check-in: First of all check-in took almost 2 hours. The reception was the epitome of chaos and inefficiency. When it was finally us (after approximately 45 minutes) they couldn´t find our reservation even though everything was plotted in online and we had everything with us. When they finally found us it was apparently necessary to type in ALL of our information once again using all of our documents meaning it was a complete waste of time for us to have typed it in when booking. Great start. - Swimming pool: There are 2 swimming pools at the camping village. We saw the old one first. It was nothing like the pictures and completely neglected. Not a nice place. Luckily the other one was way better. However, since the old pool had 0 visitors the new one was completely full, meaning that there was a very long line of people trying to get a chair for themselves. Also the swimming children´s pool with the slide was closed for 4 days and we couldn’t be told why. That was unfortunate since we have a 4 and 6 year old. - Lifeguards: They had installed 2 lifeguards at the new pool which was good. The effort of the lifeguards weren’t. Me and another guest at a point observed 2 guards staring into each their phone for 4-5 minutes. I even got out of the pool and took a 26 second long video of this. I think it takes around 10-20 seconds for a child to drown. NOT very assuring. They were however very efficient with their whistles if you moved a chair or went down the slide a wrong way – so there´s that. - Fire alarm: When we got to our mobilehome we could see that the fire alarm was taken down and placed on top of the fridge. There were no batteries in it. Also very reassuring. - Tennis court + reservation: Oh Lord this is a long one. I am splitting it in 2 different stories. 1) First of all some of our friends whom we were visiting the Camping Village with tried to book the tennis court so he and I could play tennis. This was on day 2 I think. When he got to the reception they told him he hadn’t been checked-in correctly. Correct, the 2 hour check-in had failed. He said: “I don´t care about that. I already have my mobilehome. I just want to play tennis and I´ll pay for it.” They refused and told him that if he wanted to play tennis he would have to go get all the documents again. He laughed at them and walked out. I went up there an hour later and booked the court only by giving them my first name. Very weird. Now I have to introduce you to the ingenious booking system. They have a printed paper with all the booking slots in it. There you write your name. You then pay 8 EUR pr. hour and an additional 10 EUR security deposit. Then you are handed the keys AND a receipt for you 10 EU security deposit. When we were done playing tennis my friend went to the reception to deliver the keys and get back the deposit. I had thrown away the receipt as I thought it didn´t matter – I mean, why would it? I can´t book without paying the deposit and I can´t get the deposit back without the key. What is the damn receipt for? NOTHING. But my friend couldn´t get back the money so he took the key with him. I went there later, delivered the key and asked for the 10 EUR though I didn´t have a receipt. No problem – I just got them. Made NO SENSE. 2) We booked the tennis court several times afterwards even though the court itself was in VERY poor shape and there were branches and leaves everywhere (I have pictures). Wasn´t cleaned while we were there. On one of the last days my wife and I went there to book it around 11.25. It was free all day and we thought we would play for around an hour. So I booked it from 12 am to 1 pm. I asked to get the keys with me as I had to go pick something up from mobilehome and it took around 15 minutes to walk back to mobilehome from the reception so it would be stupid to go there only to go to the reception AGAIN and get the key and not being able play before 12.15. She said no. I asked if she was serious. She said I could pick it up 10 minutes before our time started. I got angry and asked if this was a joke. The court was empty and we were practically the only ones playing there for the past 12 days. She was serious. I then asked her to give me back my money: “Have it your way. I don´t want to play.” Then she went and talked to the owner of the Camping Village and all of a sudden we could get the keys. But she finished: “You can´t play until 12 am.” I felt like asking my money back but decided to take the keys and start a little before – it was empty and I felt like 8 EUR pr. hour on a trash tennis court in a campsite that I had already paid for was way too much. So if I played for 10-15 minutes too much they shouldn’t complain. Also I could just turn in the keys earlier. No harm no foul. So we went back and got our stuff and start playing at 11.45 am. Around the time we started a guy showed up in a golf cart and stopped us: “I was told you only reserved the court from 12 am!” They honestly sent a guy to check up on us for not playing 15 minutes longer on their terrible tennis court. I was furious. Me: “Are you seriously asking us to step outside this empty tennis court for another 10 minutes until it´s 12 am?” Him: “Yes. I´m sorry.” Me: ”This must be your joke. Look at the damn tennis court. I pay 8 EUR an hour to play on this terrible court that you didn´t even bother cleaning even once in the past 12 days!” Him: “I know but not my choice.” My wife: “We know that it´s not your fault.” Me: “Yes, and I´m not mad at you. But are you telling me that your greedy boss won´t let us play on this shi*** tennis court even though no one else is playing at it? You want us to stand beside the court for another 15 minutes and LOOK at the court? Take a look at the football court. It´s completely new. How much does that cost to play? Zero! I can go to the pool all day for free. But that greedy owner sends you to check up on us so we don´t use the court ´for free´. What an idi**. But fine! We´ll stand beside this sh**hole of a tennis court and look at it for 15 minutes!” I proceeded to smash a ball into the fence at the back of the tennis court. He then told my wife that we could keep playing. I was FURIOUS. The owner sent a young innocent guy to tell two of his guests that had a 14 days reservation that they couldn´t play for an additional 15 minutes. It says so much about the place. Greedy. - The Gym: The gym itself was in very poor shape. It cost 6 EUR pr. hour I think which was fine - though a bit too much when taking the shape of the place into consideration. But the inefficiency once again prevailed. We had a mobilehome close to the gym and far away from the reception. They had placed a coworker at the gym and we asked to go workout. She asked if we had paid. We said that we would like to pay. She said that we had to go to the reception to be put in the system and she would get the message and could cross us off her board. Haha, yes. That was the system. So we had to walk back and forth even though there was a coworker right there. Greed and inefficiency shined through everything they did. 1 star is not a star too much in my opinion.

I had no prior experience of camping sites in Europe, I always thought that camping is in tents only :), so I was surprised to see everything that is needed available on the camping site: a neat house with A/C (we had a Happy Camp Plus house with 3 bedrooms), white clean sheets on beds, all the kitchen appliances, toilet/showers, terrace for the house. And it was 20 meters away from the beach, how much better can it get? A great supermarket is right on the camp site. The best swimming pool I've ever seen with a slide, sprinkles, a soft surface so kids can't hurt themselves, ideal! We were also very very pleased with the animation team, huge thanks to everyone on the team: Sofia, Emelie, Nicol, Alessandra, Dan, Paul. We really enjoyed all the dances, my kids and myself, we learnt the moves and now are dancing all the time and thinking of everyone :) We also enjoyed the show once a week, great effort! And other activities like aquagym, stretching, dancing on the beach, near the pool. This really made the experience unforgettable. (the only recommendation is to either have a set schedule for a week that we can know in advance, or have some notification system (e.g., updated on the website, or a whatsapp group for all who actively participates in activities, etc), so that we know right away which place to go to for the activities of the day. The camp is a great option for families who want to be closer to nature (outside everyday), close to the beach, come with multiple families and stay in individual houses but always meet in common places. Would highly recommend to all my friends and family and ready to go there each year :) Anastasia + Maria (8 y.o.) + Emma (4 y.o.).
