Staying at La Perla since last Saturday and experienced all the issues with the power cut and water. The hotel and Tui reps could not have been more helpful and accommodating. These problems were outwith their control, they gave every guest an allowance to eat out in Garda, a 5 minute walk away. Well done and thank you to all the amazing staff at the La Perla and Tui rep Marsha for all their help

We’re currently staying at La Perla and having a lovely time. It’s lovely and clean, the staff are really friendly, the rooms have everything we need. There’s 4 of us, two adults and two children, and although we didn’t manage to get adjoining rooms, we did get two rooms next to each other which worked for us as we aren’t in the rooms much anyway. The food is lovely and fresh but it would be great to have a bit more selection in the evening. The location is great, supermarket across the road, the lake a couple of minutes walk with lots of restaurants, right next to the bus station which is handy to get around. A few minutes walk to the ferry, get there early to beat the queues. There’s also a nice beach about a 10/15 minute walk away in Corno. We probably would be tempted to stay in a different part of Garda next time as I’d say there’s not a great deal to do for a day in Garda itself. The hotel had some issues where the generator caught fire and it resulted in some power cuts and on and off issues with power for a couple of days. But this didn’t affect us at all and the hotel staff worked tirelessly to fix it and answer customer questions. The Tui staff also worked really hard to make sure people were updated and supported the hotel. Tui communicated at which points power would be turned off for the generator works and so we were able to plan showers/phone charging around it and food service was only interrupted on the first evening where they reimbursed our evening meal that we had outside of the hotel. We couldn’t fault how they handled it at all and it was completely out of their control. The live music was really good on one of the nights, it would be nice if they had something like that a bit more often in the week. The pool is really big and lovely and refreshing, not too cold at all. Nice bar next to the pool where you can get food, drinks and ice cream with friendly staff. You’re not allowed inflatables in the pool. We did struggle to get a sunbed one of the days and around the pool has been busy but we’ve managed to get beds by the baby pool a couple of days which is nice and shaded. Housekeeping is great and again, really friendly. We’ve really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend
