Hotel Nettuno

We have just returned from a lovely week stay at Hotel Nettuno in Bardolino. The hotel is located at the end of Bardolino basically where the start of the walk to Garda starts. It is the perfect place to watch the sunset from the outside terrace. The hotel is beautifully decorated,spotlessly clean in every area and has a lovely bar/lounge area. We stayed on a half board basis, breakfast was very nice,good choice of food and lovely pots of coffee and pastries. Dinner was fine dining waiter service,choice of 3 courses plus a salad buffet starter. The menu was different for every one of our seven nights,freshly prepared and delicious food, not a chip in sight. Portions are not huge so if you have a healthy appetite,expect quality not quantity. We had evening entertainment on the Saturday night,a lovely singer called Holly and her daughter Amilie. Having more entertainment throughout the week would have been a welcome bonus. We had a double room on the second floor which was large enough and spotlessly clean. You can walk into the old town alongside the lake which takes about 15 minutes or take the direct route along the main road which only takes about 6 minutes. Bardolino is lovely,plenty of narrow streets,restaurants and cafe's, and great to catch the ferry to different towns around the lake. The last time we were in Lake Garda was actually 19 years ago so we did find that on this visit,even in May,it was much busier than how we remembered it so I can imagine it to be really busy in the height of the season. A mention to the hotel staff who were always friendly and helpful,Elena on reception,Ana and Vicenza in the bar and Ferdinando,Bakary and Emmanuel in the restaurant. Overall, we had a fabulous holiday,and if we were to return to Lake Garda we would definitely stay at the Nettuno.

Having stayed at this hotel many times we found that last year was a bit of a disappointment. Having just returned from our stay this year it was totally different. All of the dining room staff, but in particular, Enrique and Marvin were excellent, very helpful, friendly and always professional. Gianluca the Maitre D was always very attentive, friendly, and ready to help, surprising us with a special treat for our wedding anniversary. The receptionist was also very friendly and Luca on the bar was a treat. All the staff were brilliant, too many to mention. The meals were excellent, an amazing choice in the buffet breakfast and evening meals consisted of a salad buffet, a pasta course, a main course and a dessert. One of the evenings there was a barbecue out on the terrace. We had a lovely big room with a side view of the lake, one improvement from last year was very simple, a chair in the room. Somewhere to sit but also somewhere to put your clothes. There was a spotless shower room with a fabulous shower and always plenty of hot water. A fabulous week altogether.

Just returned from a week half board at the Nettuno. This hotel is in an excellent location with lake right in front of it and beautiful sunset views from the restaurant. The food is outstanding, we couldn’t fault it. Every meal was exceptional and the buffet breakfast was excellent too. However the jewel in the Nettuno Crown has to be the staff. Without exception they are all incredible. Friendly, efficient, everyone greets you with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. It’s impossible to single anyone out as honestly, they are all so lovely. The reception staff, the restaurant manager, the restaurant staff, the bar staff and the housekeepers, all wonderful. I 100% recommend this hotel and will definitely return

We had a lovely stay at hotel nuttuno the lake side was lovely the hotel was spotless and staff couldn't do enough for us we would like to give a shout to Enrique Marvin Backery and all kitchen staff the food was excellent and front of house also Gianluca was welcoming us and making sure we were OK

It is not surprising that Hotel Nettuno has had so many fantastic reviews as my family and I whole heartedly agree that this hotel offers a first class experience. The hotel’s location is excellent, being a short stroll to the lovely town of Bardolino and fronting the lake itself. Watching the sunset over the lake whilst eating on the pretty terrace was a high-light and the food was excellent. The rooms are comfortable, well decorated and spotless. The pool area and grounds are well maintained and the bar/ lounge area is nicely furnished. However, it is the incredibly courteous, accommodating, and very friendly staff that make this hotel such a wonderful place to stay. The service right across the board is faultless, from our greeting at reception to the friendly housekeeping staff. The front of house team made us feel so welcome and provided attentive service during meal times, as well as offering ideas about places to visit etc. A particular shout out to Luca and Enrique but the whole team was great. I felt at home here in this hotel and am very much hoping that I get to return sometime soon.
