Parc Hotel San Pietro

The property is in a magnificent location with a truly breathtaking view of the valley and Lake Garda. It is a 3-star hotel. Certainly the best I have ever seen. In many respects, it would even be better than many 4-star hotels out there. Truly beautiful infinity pool. I was expecting a relaxing place, but for me, it is not. Due to the month of August, it is a place for families. So with all those kids, at times it turns into a public swimming pool. Room chapter (standard): very small (especially the bathroom) but nice and clean. It could use a little more attention, such as soap for the bidet as well or the correct number of towel racks (in a double room there should be two of each type and not just one). Room temperature tested with both air conditioning and dehumidification mode was good, but not under that duvet, which was too heavy for the season and did not make for comfortable sleep. Breakfast of good quality and variety. I took advantage of the half-board, and here comes a slightly discordant note. The quality of the restaurant is not bad, but the price-quality ratio is unbalanced. The choice was an appetizer (between two) + a first or second course (also between two) + dessert. For 50€ excluding drinks, I expect something more. I would suggest booking only the room and evaluating whether to eat there à la carte or at other restaurants in the area (also because I would have paid the same amount as the half-board by paying à la carte). During the two dinners we had, the kitchen fell apart with endless wait times. They even brought us dessert on the first day while we were still waiting for the main course (for almost an hour). Once it arrived, the pasta was salty to the point of being inedible (but I was so hungry at that point, so...). Finally, a note on the service. The staff is for the most part helpful and courteous, and I have nothing to say about that. But they give the impression of being very inexperienced. In short, it is the aspect that most lowers the level of the place and reminds you that you are still in a 3-star hotel (which, however, costs as much as a 4-star). It would really take very little to refine everything and make it a truly quality place. This way it gives the feeling of being a nice sports car constantly driven in third gear.

I returned to this location with enthusiasm and booked a room directly via email; the reception replied that the last basic room with dinner and breakfast cost 255 euros, without signing their name. I look at the price on the website and the basic room is 150 euros and I tell myself... there must be a candlelight dinner with a pianist.... Helpppp!!! I arrive and they offer me a small apartment at the same price near the pool. I go in and don't look much at the details, I jump into the pool; when I return to take possession of the apartment I notice that they haven't finished building yet, the access road is full of rain potholes, I turn on the TV and the language is Arabic. I go to dinner, a choice between a first course and an appetizer or a first course and a second course, based on products prepared and vacuum-packed. One hour between the first and second course. A model manager appears, a very close friend of the owner, and tries to falsely appease us. Model, she told us so herself. Rating 3. The only positive note is the reception manager Jacopo who did the math right and made us pay 200, I propose him as the new and capable director of a facility that two years ago I had defined as delightful. I do not recommend it to you!!!

Siamo stati ospiti di amici: piscina riscaldata con vista sul lago da sogno, soprattutto al tramonto. Camere nuovissime, spaziose, bagno moderno, tutto molto pulito. Cucina spaziale: il cuoco è davvero bravissimo. Colazione con moltissima varietà sia di cose dolci (pancakes appena sfornati) che di cose salate. Spazi comuni ampi e ben arredati con gusto. 3 stelle? È un ottimo 4 stelle Superior.

Our one-week stay at Hotel San Pietro in Spiazzi, booked with half-board, canoe tour, and a four-course menu including water and local wines, was unfortunately marked by significant inconsistencies and a lack of service quality. Already on the first evening, we were forced to present our booking confirmation to prove the included services. This necessity to justify ourselves every evening for the booked services persisted throughout the entire stay and led to an extremely unpleasant atmosphere. The staff repeatedly responded to this situation with ignorance and forgetfulness. Wait times of up to 40 minutes for an appetizer were not uncommon. On the penultimate evening, the main course was simply forgotten, which meant we had to leave the restaurant without a main course after two hours of waiting. This culminated in us dining out on the last evening. The bill at the end of the stay also included unexplained items: Wines, water, and two meals were charged a total of €101.00. The explanation from the reception staff that it was a "system error" proved to be insufficient. In the subsequent written complaint to the hotel, we were informed that we were "only entitled to one glass of wine per person - in contrast to the bottles actually consumed." This directly contradicts our booking, which stated "local wines included" without any quantity limitation. It should be emphasized that I consumed only two glasses of wine on five evenings, and my husband did not have any at all. Furthermore, it should be noted that the glass served contained not even close to 1/8 liter of wine! The hotel's subsequent clarification that "wine included" means one glass per person per meal and that unlimited consumption would have resulted in a significantly higher rate is unacceptable. Such a limitation should have been clearly specified in the booking contract. The claim that "the wording may leave room for doubt, which could have been clarified by asking the staff" is strange given that we spoke with the staff about the inclusive services every day. It is also surprising that the hotel continues to advertise the offer on its website in the same misleading wording despite our complaint. This experience significantly tarnished our vacation and prevents us from recommending the San Pietro hotel.
