A warm welcome at the desk, helpful staff and a lovely room with balcony overlooking the hilltop town of Montepulciano. Good price and adequate breakfast with help on hand for coffee orders etc. An excellent base to discover the beautiful scenery and destinations of southern Tuscany.

We stayed two nights while touring Tuscany by bike. Upon arrival we were struck by the extras, including 10 euros per night per bike to park our ebikes, which felt truly excessive. And we parked them in the laundry room attached to an extension cord in the dark and couldn't access them without help from the staff. Our room was tiny and hot, and when we asked for a room change we were informed the hotel was full. The AC either wasn't existent or wasn't turned on. If we had the patio door open for cool air, we heard voices, smelled cigarette smoke, and listened to a dog bark all night long. The bathroom had a tub but shower extension and there was no curtain or door for the shower, and no drain in the floor to deal with the inevitable flood from the shower. The breakfast was good and we ate dinner there one night and it was also quite good. It was just over a 1km steep walk to get to town for any restaurant or bar other than the hotel.

The reviews seemed too good to be true…and they were! Pros are it’s a nice set-up but rooms are in poor repair. When we checked in we were clearly told the “free breakfast” would cost €5 per person. When we checked out they said €10 per person. It wasn’t even worth the originally quoted price (stale pastries, no hot food). When we went down at 7:00 for breakfast, no one was around. Then construction workers staying there showed up after us and were escorted into the dining room while we were told to wait. 🙄 The first room they gave us was filthy (dirt on walls, mold in bathroom and dust balls on floor). They gave a a different room which was an improvement. Other than this disrespect, the staff was reasonably friendly.

A lovely experience while visiting for business - the hotel and room was big, very clean with gorgeous views. the staff were so kind and friendly- they went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable and nothing was too much trouble. Also the food in the restaurant is delicious!

Great location and friendly staff. Especially Sheheeen who took great care of us during our stay! Enjoyed the breakfast and ability to walk to Montepulciano. Very fun town with great food and wine! Can hardly wait to return.
