Antico Podere San Francesco

We stayed at this hotel paying €400 per night, and unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. From the very first day, we found ants in our room. We reported this issue to staff multiple times, but despite our repeated complaints, no real solution or improvement was ever provided. The room had to be cleaned every day to remove the ants coming out from the corners, which shows the room had not been properly treated in the first place. Eventually, out of frustration, we had to go to the supermarket ourselves and buy an ant repellent product at our own expense just to make the room livable. Despite everything, we received no compensation from the hotel, neither for the daily inconvenience nor for the cost of the product we had to purchase. For a hotel at this price point, this level of service is simply unacceptable.

It is a very nice resort with very friendly staff.The breakfast was great.The only thing we did not like was that people could smoke bij the pool even in front of children. Also we did not like the matrassen they where very hard and gave us back pain.Overall we had a lovely stay.

We were two families in two different suites on holiday for five nights. All personnel gave us their full attention and provided the highest levels of service. Vada is a minutes away by car, with its small central piazza with plenty to do. The Tuscan beach towns are short drives down the highway. We chose a different one each day. The pool is perfect when you simply want to stay on property. It’s restful to stay at an oasis in the olive groves that is so convenient to the town and beaches.

We had a truly memorable stay at Antico Podere San Francesco. The property offers a perfect blend of relaxation, nature, and thoughtful amenities, making it an ideal spot for families, couples, or anyone looking to unwind in the Tuscan countryside. The space is generous and beautifully maintained — a peaceful setting surrounded by olive trees and vineyards, with plenty of room to explore or simply relax. The apartments are spacious, clean, and well-equipped, offering a comfortable base for day trips or lazy afternoons by the pool. One of the biggest advantages is how child-friendly the property is. There’s a lovely playground, safe open spaces for kids to run around, and the pool area is great for families. The staff clearly understand what families need and make everyone feel very welcome. An unexpected moment during our stay was encountering a snake on the grounds and in our appartement — a rare event and certainly surprising. It reminded us we were in the heart of nature. Overall, Antico Podere San Francesco offers a peaceful, family-friendly retreat with attentive staff, beautiful surroundings, and all the charm of the Tuscan countryside. Highly recommended for those looking to disconnect and enjoy a slower pace.
