Antico Podere San Francesco

We were two families in two different suites on holiday for five nights. All personnel gave us their full attention and provided the highest levels of service. Vada is a minutes away by car, with its small central piazza with plenty to do. The Tuscan beach towns are short drives down the highway. We chose a different one each day. The pool is perfect when you simply want to stay on property. It’s restful to stay at an oasis in the olive groves that is so convenient to the town and beaches.

We had a truly memorable stay at Antico Podere San Francesco. The property offers a perfect blend of relaxation, nature, and thoughtful amenities, making it an ideal spot for families, couples, or anyone looking to unwind in the Tuscan countryside. The space is generous and beautifully maintained — a peaceful setting surrounded by olive trees and vineyards, with plenty of room to explore or simply relax. The apartments are spacious, clean, and well-equipped, offering a comfortable base for day trips or lazy afternoons by the pool. One of the biggest advantages is how child-friendly the property is. There’s a lovely playground, safe open spaces for kids to run around, and the pool area is great for families. The staff clearly understand what families need and make everyone feel very welcome. An unexpected moment during our stay was encountering a snake on the grounds and in our appartement — a rare event and certainly surprising. It reminded us we were in the heart of nature. Overall, Antico Podere San Francesco offers a peaceful, family-friendly retreat with attentive staff, beautiful surroundings, and all the charm of the Tuscan countryside. Highly recommended for those looking to disconnect and enjoy a slower pace.

We stayed for 10 days and it was a truly wonderful experience. The property is beautifully maintained. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The pool was always clean and water had perfect tempwrature. The location was also great for day trips to nearby towns and villages.

We stayed for 3 nights and, while the surroundings and overall atmosphere were lovely and relaxing for a short family break with our 4-year-old daughter, there were several aspects that left us disappointed. We initially booked a deluxe suite, but were surprised to find it only accommodates two people. Since there were three of us, we had no choice but to upgrade to a larger room at an additional cost of €88 per night. On top of that, we were charged a €45 cleaning fee due to the room upgrade — and yet, our apartment was not cleaned once during our stay. Another unexpected cost was breakfast, which was not included in the upgraded package. We were charged €40 per day for the three of us. What made it more frustrating was being quoted three different prices before ultimately being charged the highest amount with no flexibility or explanation. For what we paid overall, we found this excessive and disappointing. While we did enjoy our time as a family and appreciated the peaceful setting, the accumulation of unexpected charges left a bitter taste and unfortunately means we wouldn’t return. €88 a day upgrade charge really should include breakfast adding and extra €120 to our stay for breakfast seems excessive.

Absolutely lovely hotel. The surroundings are beautiful, so very easy to get to, plenty of packing. Everything you would ever need in an apartment, the breakfast was amazing. The pool superb and other amenities brilliant. The staff are absolutely lovely and so so nice and helpful. Definitely if you are in this area could not recommend enough.
