Hotel Casolare le Terre Rosse

This is our second time here. Love the place: Staff is really friendly and helpful, place is clean, breakfast is really good and pool area nice. Although there are several guests, you can find peaceful spot by the pool. There are ping pong table and table football at the yard. Rooms are bit tiny, but clean and comfy. Book directly from hotel to get room with own garden. Location is great near San Gimignano center and perfect for day trips to nearest cities.

The traditional Tuscan bedroom was large and clean. The modern bathroom was lovely and clean too. The breakfast was excellent, providing a great choice including yoghurt, cereal, meats, cheese, bread, scrambled egg, bacon, pastries and fresh fruit. The swimming pool area was kept very clean and whilst it did get busier in the afternoons, we were always able to find sun loungers. The surrounding area is also very beautiful. The hotel is a 12 minute drive from San Gimignano. Sometimes, parking in / near the town during the day was difficult, so we were grateful for the hotel’s free shuttle service, which allowed us to leave the car at the hotel when the car parks were full. All the staff at the hotel were great. We were always greeted and everyone was very polite and helpful. Overall, we had an amazing stay and will definitely return when visiting this part of Tuscany again.

I must say that pictures don’t do this place justice. I brought a group of 34 there last week and the only downside is many of my guests, who had been scheduled for a daily excursions, felt like they just wanted to stay at the hotel due to its beauty and tranquility. Not only that, I am very much a critique of food being that I’ve grown up in the restaurant business, and I was incredibly impressed with the food at this hotel. The breakfast was the nicest breakfast I had ever seen served at a hotel and the dinners, even though they were cooking for 34 of us, were top notch quality, and absolutely delicious! To top it all off, the staff was there for everything we needed, and they always had a smile and a friendly demeanor. They truly were the icing on top! We most certainly will be back at this hotel!

We stayed one night at this hotel at the beginning of a recent Tuscany road trip, and enjoyed the experience. Whilst the room was small, the furnishings were quaintly authentic. The bathroom was modern and clean. Breakfast was superb with many delicious options. Service overall was excellent and very friendly, particularly the bearded guy who runs the dining room - sorry but we didn't get his name. An early sunrise walk around the well kept grounds was invigorating. I'm sure the beautiful pool is well used in summer. Overall, a great start to our road trip!

We were fortunate to spend 6 nights. The accommodation was excellent, but what was truly outstanding was the food, service, and quality at breakfast and especially for dinner. In terms of dinner, the staff was attentive and knowledgeable. The quality was at a Michelin level. We also did some cycling from the hotel and appreciated the storage provided (including plug-ins) for our e-bikes. We will also mention the exceptional grounds. All in all, a wonderful place to stay in the Tuscan hills.
