Hotel Da Vinci

I stayed here with a friend recently. When we arrived we were given a double room instead of a twin. We were then given another double room and again asked for a twin. Two days in at 11pm a man walked in to our room, another guest i believed he apologised and left. Ten minute later a male staff member barges into our room demanding that we prove that we have booked out stay. I was sat on my bed in my underwear. I covered my self best I could and he stood there right next to me. Not even at the door while my friend tried to find the email confirmation. Why would anyone do that? He was the shorter out of the 2 male staff with grey hair. The hotel and other staff are really nice however if you are staying on your own then I absolutely wouldn't stay here. Its really concerning that this man felt this was appropriate action at 11.15 pm whilst I was barley dressed. Not only was it inappropriate but he was rude. The hotel had made the mistake and at most a phone call to visit reception should have happened not an invasion of privacy and intimidation by a male who we had never even seen before. This was a scary experience.

Please do not waste money on staying at this property!! Very disappointing! Bathroom stunk so bad! Did not use unless we had to. Desperately needs upgrade or torn down

A group of us stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. Location is perfect and a safe area. Breakfast each morning was great. The rooms are basic but very clean.

Good location for train station & local attractions/ restaurants. Rooms cleaned everyday, staff happy to help, very good breakfast

We were skeptical after reading the reviews at the airport but on arrival were pleasantly surprised. Room and bathroom incredibly clean and the bed was large and comfortable. We slept well and despite having a street facing room, were not disturbed by the noise. The pool facility is genuinely a 2 minute walk away on top of what seems to be the overflow of the main hotel. Very clean facility and despite being the middle of August, we still managed to get a bed every day. The reception staff were very helpful and helped us book tables at local restaurants. Breakfast was not included in our stay, so cannot comment on that. Overall would highly recommend this hotel as a base for day trips to Pisa, Lucca and Florence.
