It was more than we expected ! Perfect addition to our honeymoon trip. From The landscape to our room was pure romance. Their onsite restaurant was delicious. Everyone was great. Excellent customer service! The pool was fabulous with great views. We hope to return soon.

This place was a complete disappointment and a perfect example of false advertising. We booked what looked like a charming 4-star Tuscan farmhouse apartment, with light-filled rooms and rustic character. Instead, upon arrival, we were shoved into what I can only describe as a dirty, damp, smelly cave. Peeling plaster, low doorframes you bang your head on, a disgusting musty odor – nothing like the pictures online. It honestly felt like we were tricked into staying in a room that should never even be rented out. When I went to complain, the receptionist responded arrogantly, telling us all the apartments are “the same, just with different decoration.” That was laughable. The apartment we got bore zero resemblance to the photos. Only after pushing hard did they grudgingly agree to move us the next day into something decent – which proves that they know they are misleading guests. The entire experience ruined the start of our holiday. Even worse, we realized they don’t hand these awful rooms to everyone. During our stay, guests from the UK or Germany always seemed to get the nice apartments. Strangely, nobody else was ever given the “hole” we were placed in. That makes me think they choose who to scam based on your passport – some people are more “valuable” to them, others can just suffer. To be fair, the grounds are beautiful: gardens, fountains, pool – very picturesque. But once you step inside, the problems pile up. The kitchen in the apartment was poorly equipped, with barely enough utensils to cook anything, no kettle, no basics like salt, oil, or sugar. Outlets were limited, sometimes only one or two in a room. The playground was in a dangerously bad condition – swings and climbing frames that looked like they could collapse at any moment, which is unacceptable for a family property. Breakfast was laughable – a “buffet” consisting of some cold cuts, cheese, bread, and eggs. Definitely not worth €9. The restaurant overall is overpriced, with uninspiring food that doesn’t feel authentically Italian. I saw couples spending over €120 for two pizzas and a bottle of wine, simply because there’s nothing else around. It’s a trap – overpriced mediocrity in the middle of nowhere. We paid around €800 for four nights, and I cannot understand how this property claims to be 4 stars. Between the false advertising, the arrogant attitude of the staff, the unsafe and broken facilities, and the feeling of being deliberately cheated, this was one of the worst accommodation experiences we’ve ever had. It doesn’t even deserve the single star I’m giving it. Avoid this place – Tuscany is full of authentic, welcoming accommodations, and this is not one of them.

The views are spectacular, lots of charm in main building, that’s where it stops, service is horrible, everyone is rude, they cater to large tour groups and weddings, so if you are two people you will treated like a second class citizen, has to wait two days for hangers, ask for pool towels, they put in their website the pools but no towels???, most lounge chairs are broken, room cleaned daily but never got new glasses, I guess only two per room for one time, tried to go to breakfast a couple of times and of course behind a BIG tour groups- not what we intended, if you’re looking for a nice place in Tuscany to feel welcome DONT stay here!!!!

The grounds are beautiful and could be improved with regular maintenance. This place has such potential but the service and room conditions completely let it down. Our room had several issues, it was basically clean but furniture had spider webs and very limited power point options to charge any devices. I would stay in the room again although it does need work. Dinner at the restaurant was great. What let it down more than anything, and resulting in 1 star review was the breakfast. Don’t waste your time. All the bakery items were stale, coffee machine didn’t work and water for hot tea was cold. That aside, the service was horrible. Every guest got yelled at for various reasons by the lady with blonde hair. She was watching people like a hawk and so suspiciously the whole time. Honestly she needs to work away from a customer facing position. It was a scary and unpleasant experience. With some improvements to service and general maintenance this could be a gem of a place to visit.

We recently held our wedding at Fattoria degli Usignoli, bringing our family and friends from Ireland for the most magical 3 days. Having visited three times previously, we became very familiar with the venue and fell in love with it more and more each time. We knew our guests would love it also but even we were surprised with their reaction! Roberto, Alessio and all the team were a joy to deal with from start to finish. Their hospitality is second to none, the views from the venue are breathtaking, the food is sensational and the wine is even better! We're already looking forward to our next visit to reminisce on our wedding... and it has only been a few weeks!
