amazing hotel. alexandro the gentleman front of house gave 20/10 service. turnt a bad situation on arrival into a perfect stay. you will be missed! we cannot fault anything about this hotel. offering little snacks and drinks throughout the day free of charge were a hit with the kids, free bikes to ride around lucca. the manager giving great service and introducing himself also. traditional but modern. quite rooms. overall we would return tomorrow .

Lovely Lucca, and a hotel to match... just inside the city walls, a perfect location. Immaculately presented throughout, lovely roof terrace to have breakfast or the two hour happy hour free Prosecco, beers, soft drinks and snacks... yes, you read that correctly, all free... a lot of guests made the most of it, shall we say.. super breakfast choices, 5 mins in a taxi to the trains station for days out, one minute from a great restaurant, Gil Orti and wonderful staff on reception... just a lovely place to stay...

This is a lovely comfortable hotel with modern facilities in a great location. It's handy for walking into the centre of Lucca for shopping and eating out. The staff are all really friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble (although we're not demanding!). The snack bar in Reception has beers and soft drinks available (free) during the afternoon and free Prosecco from 5 to 7pm, which is a great idea and very welcome. Breakfast was a good spread of the usual offerings with tea and coffee served by staff. One day of the week was particularly busy with guests ordering numerous different drinks, but the staff stayed cool, calm and collected in the face of some quite rude behavior (please is a nice word to use). We don't eat cooked breakfast normally, but the scrambled egg and bacon is really good. It may seem trivial to mention, but the air con in the room was EXCELLENT and so necessary in the extreme temperatures. It was almost silent and was set at a constant 18 degrees, so the room was always comfortable and it was easy to sleep at night. This made a huge difference to the usual noisy machines stuck on a wall. Our room, like the rest of the hotel, was spotlessly clean and well maintained by the super efficient team. An all round great place to stay.

Perfect hotel in the middle of Lucca , 10 mins walk from the train station .Room was modern with good AC..Good breakfast ,free use of bikes , seating area in the lobby where free snacks and coffee are available .All staff very friendly .

Went to Lucca, Italy for my daughters wedding and stayed at the Hotel Ilaria which is located within the walls. We had a party of 6 so rented 2 of their family suites which are located 1 block away from the main hotel. The rooms were very spacious and clean although a bit dated. Great location and walking distance to almost everything. Main purpose of the this review is to share the great service we received by their staff. I was the officiant for my daughters wedding and had to rewrite my scripts several times and they helped print the pages for me in 2 different size fonts so i could see it as clear as possible. Moreover, they let you ride their hotel bikes around the town and unfortunately, they didn't have a bike with a child seat but the lady at the front desk offered me her personal bike which did as long as we were back before her shift ended. Several more outstanding service deliverables they provided. I shared with my wife that I thought the staff at Hotel Ilaria specifically, Serena, Ilaria, Alessandro provided a Ritz Carlton / Four Seasons experience. Well done Hotel Ilaria staff!! PS. If your visiting in the summer, be sure to checkout the Lucca summer concerts. The day we arrived Katy Perry was performing, so we were able to attend her concert too.
