Villa Kinzica

The only good thing about this hotel is the location very outdated needed total refurbishment throughout and bathroom cleanliness needs to be addressed amongst other things.

We are just back from a 4 night stay at Villa Kinzica. As a tourist hotel, this is a gem of a location. The hotel is clean, warm & easily accessible to everything you would want to see in Pisa & within easy walking distance of both railway stations if you'd like to venture a little further afield. Rooms appear to have newly tiled floors & bathroom & modernised radiators. The rooms are a little retro but good value & clean. Only thing missing is a kettle & cups. Breakfast is continental style and gives you a good start for a day of sightseeing. Michael on Reception was extremely helpful, pointing us in the right direction for stations & entertainment. We had a lovely few days away in Pisa with trips to both Florence & Lucca. Brilliant!

They promote themselves as a four star hotel, but I would disagree. There were two big dead bugs on the floor of my room during my entire stay, even though housekeeping accessed the room. No coffee or tea provided in the room, nor was it self serve downstairs. You had to wait until 7:30 a.m. and then ask for it and hope it was prepared the way you asked. The dining room is lovely, but full of flies. We tried to have dinner there, but couldn't because flies were crawling all over my husbands head, shirt and face! When we informed the staff we were going to have to leave she got really rude and nasty about it. On top of that, let me add that a bowl of very simple pasta, with nothing else, was $30!!
