Hotel Pian di Neve

I booked this hotel based on the glowing reviews, and I honestly cannot understand how it’s rated so highly. The location is the only positive thing I can say about my stay. The hotel is completely overcrowded, to the point where every communal area feels chaotic. The food was genuinely awful, the same repetitive options at every meal: pasta and an unidentifiable meat dish. No variety, no flavour, and certainly not what you’d expect from a hotel claiming to be of a decent standard. Staff interactions were another low point. Several members of staff were rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. When I raised concerns about the corridors smelling strongly of cigarette smoke (despite the hotel being advertised as non‑smoking), reception told me it was “fine” and that people could smoke. Completely unacceptable. The rooms themselves were run down and in desperate need of refurbishment. To make matters worse, the hotel tries to charge guests for “damages” that are clearly just wear and tear. In my view, this is immoral and feels like a deliberate tactic to squeeze more money out of guests. Overall, this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It’s a 2‑star at best, it is more like a hostel than a hotel. I would strongly advise booking elsewhere.

I stayed at this hotel in April 2026 with a group of children on a school skiing trip. The hotel was clearly oversold and it was so busy and not enough social space for children to socialise. The staff were so rude to our school staff and pupils and when we checked out they made up a whole load of damages to rooms and wanted over €600 to repair. The worrying thing for me was having staff workers staying in rooms next to our pupils and clearly smoking and the corridors smelt horrific. I spoke to the person on reception and she said that it wasn’t a problem! I responded with it’s a non-smoking hotel! Would not recommend this hotel to school groups.

I’m sure out of school holiday season the hotel is fine. During school holidays, 400 children in the facility was too much. Overcrowding rooms with 5 children sharing was too much. It’s a hotel room not a dormitory.

During my stay at Hotel Piandineve, I saw aspects of it that were good such as the views from the hotel rooms, and the skiing slopes. The location is in a good spot for getting out and about and the atmosphere is just gorgeous. However, I did not think the amount I paid to stay was worth a penny of it. When the cleaners came into the room they did not do anything other than put the duvet back on the bed despite the fact there was sand and all sorts on and underneath the sheets. This caused my nights sleep to be rough and uncomfortable. Furthermore, they were quite rude when I asked them to change the actual bedding. The food was the same every single day, which got repetitive and stopped me from having a balanced diet. As we were leaving the hotel, a room inspection took place by the hotel. Their was a slight peel of a sticker on the shower (which was see through anyway- talk about privacy) and they tried to charge €100 for the replacement despite the fact they could just stick it back on. The managers at this hotel are robbing gets and they overcharge for a really poor experience. I would not recommend this to anyone, just go to the one down the road you can probably have a much better experience

The rooms are acceptable, although there is an issue with heating control (the radiators are constantly cold). Breakfasts are average, while dinners are very good. The location is excellent. If you are focused on skiing rather than luxury, this hotel is definitely a good choice.
