The hotel is out of town 15 mins walk start of town/supermarket 25 mins to ski lift. Went with Crystal ski on surprise stay solo. Had single room no fridge no kettle room was small but could fit luggage under the bed which was nearly a double and everything where I needed it. It had a laptop safe. The building is a bit dated but very clean and well kept. For a three star hotel I found the food very good nice breakfast buffet and at dinner starter buffet then two courses main which you order the night before, plenty of choice and good portions plus buffet dessert. The spa was 42 euros plus 6 euro for a robe for a week, it was open 15:00 until 20:00 from 15:00 to 17:00 was adults only but children were in there. Four hot tubs two inside two outside steam room and two saunas one outside plus large pool indoor. The ski storage room was large had cctv surveillance for security. On the second day I went to the supermarket to pick up a few bits I had forgot bought a bottle of wine from the shop, asked the guy at the bar to open it which he said ok to then after he had done it I ordered a glass of rose then he had a fit slamming two glasses on the bar and saying I should only buy drinks from the bar then another guy from the reception desk came it and started along with him this was really bullying behaviour and totally unacceptable in a hotel it’s up to any guest how many drinks they buy, let’s face it most people have a drink sometimes in their room. Two other guys from the UK witnessed this and backed me up as this was so wrong. He could have just said no to opening it and not be nasty to a guest. On another day I just order and paid for a wine a guy came up and gave him his wine for free I think 🤔 trying to get at me, bar mans name was Giovanni. My husband is Italian and we have travelled all over Italy spending lots of money at hotels the in-laws go to dolomites all the time they were shocked 😳. On the plus side all the other staff were very good and the white wine I had at the hotel was really nice. They make really nice English tea at the bar and coffee is also very nice. Children were running in corridors makes noise and it’s not sound proof so take ear plugs. They have a shuttle bus running to the ski lifts they will take Italian families first and you had to wait until the next time TBH this didn’t bother me as I have my day child free. Buses though between 11:30 am and 14:30 were few. Canazie is beautiful 😍 and they people in the towns and shops very friendly lots of bars restaurants. I guy at my table said the food on the slopes was fantastic. Tip take a bottle opener it’s the one thing you will need if you don’t want abuse and a kettle if you want a early morning coffee in your room. Ho and ear plugs!

A brilliant hotel just outside the town. We went half board and the food was brilliant, even gave us a packed lunch on morning we left. No complaints on food good quality. Bar area and drinks was good as well. Walk from hotel to town/ local shops was 10 mins. Easy to get the free hotel ski bus to the lift each morning. But we got a ski bus pass for local ski buses as well to give us options, only 9 euros from hotel. Hotel was a little dated but no worries at all for us. We had room in loft 5th floor was huge bedrooms and lots of storage space. Low ceilings though so banged head a few times but got used to it. Had a lovely balcony as well and could see mountains, enjoyed that. Staff were attentive and kind. Spa was great, hot tubs and saunas and steam room, inside and outside. A pool. Relax areas. Paid extra to use but was reasonable price. Only issue was kids played in pool before 5pm, which is supposed to be adult only. Ruined the tranquility a little. Overall thou was a great hotel, good food and good value for money.

Disappointing dated hotel. Breakfast was ok, Buffett style with eggs, cold meats, croissants etc. Dinner had to be chosen the night before and unfortunately not always something I would choose. We ate out at a gorgeous pizza place a few times just to have a break from the food. As for the bedrooms, well to say I was disappointed was the understatement. I was sharing with a friend and we have two tiny (not standard size) single beds that would be more suited to children. I’m 5’11 and kept rolling out. Our view was the metal fire escape and the room was always boiling hot as no was to turn down the hot radiators so we had to keep the window open all night. The one pillow was thin and uncomfortable. Sadly some of the staff in the restaurant were quite rude and didn’t make it an enjoyable experience. The room to keep your skis and boots isn’t locked and located at the front where anyone could wander in! Also it was too far out of town and having to get the bus everyday was a pain. Some morning we would have to wait for the free shuttle bus to return as too many people waiting. If you don’t mind a tired dated old fashioned hotel then go ahead and book but I definitely would never return or recommend!!
