We arrived at the hotel and were told that our reservation had been canceled. They gave no reason and weren’t at all helpful. It was not nice being in middle of Venice, with luggage on hot Saturday morning with no idea where to go. Had to book a very expensive room instead. So stay away from this hotel and also hotels.com.

We reserved and paid one night about 6 m beforehand, to stay there after a cruise. The hotel canceled our reservation few days before the check-in date. We did not believe the email, since there were con emails like that. We went to the hotel and they confirmed that our reservation was canceled and the hotel is full. No reason was given. Since it was Saturday, all Venice hotels were full or very expensive. We ended up paying about $150 more for a similar level hotel as the original reservation. This explains what their reasoning was. Since they were full and people were willing to pay double prices, they canceled our reservation.

We stay in hotel Canal Venus in the beginning of August 2026. The location of the hotel is good but we had to pay for the laggage to move it thru the steps on the bridge because the hotel located on the other site of the water canal. The first thing we saw in the room - was two fans. Ac in the room not worked and it was very hot in the room and not possible to sleep Outside was over 95f. The hotel has no elevator and we have to take the laggage upstairs. Hotel was clean. The shower was very small and the water pressure was very bad. The breakfast was in other building and was nothing to eat there. The workers at the front desk was sleeping when we left the hotel and any strangers can come in and out. I am not recommending this hotel. It was my worst experience
