Hotel Firenze

Great value boutique hotel. Staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It’s in a great location, extremely close to San Marco square. The room was very clean with murano glass light fittings,the bed was comfortable and the shower was powerful. The only negative for us was that the room was really light as you couldn’t block out some of the light at the top of the window. There were nice touches - little treats daily, a welcome drink (nice to have on the very pleasant roof terrace) and a parting gift. We found some great restaurants nearby. The hotel has developed a really good information tool online which gives valuable information, they are also very speedy at replying to emails and will give you suggestions for restaurants. Breakfast was included and was a cold buffet with staff serving you, totally adequate. All in all Hotel Firenze proved to be a very good choice for us.

We stayed for two days during Carnevale. The location was perfect for the short trip, and worth paying the premium for. The hotel is a less than 5 minute walk to the water taxi stop and to St Marks square. We took advantage of the location and got some amazing photos of St Marks square late at night in our Carnevale outfits. We also really appreciated the hotel concierge. He showed us how to use the hotel’s mobile app and gave us a run down of his recommendations for our short stay. The app was really useful. It had a convenient map of the city, that showed close by attractions and restaurants based on your location. It can be hard to navigate all the alleys and canals, and the app helped a lot.

Our original booking on the grand canal had a fire a week before our trip and had to cancel our reservation. We scrambled and found Hotel Firenze which turned out to be much better suited for our trip. The hotel was wonderful in giving us tips on getting to the hotel and accommodating a late night check in. The rooms were great and breakfast and the rooftop terrace were wonderful. The best part of the hotel is the location. In the middle of a nic shopping district and about 100 yards from St Marks square. It was an easy walk to Rialto and great restaurants and gelato close by. The staff was amazing.

We stayed at Hotel Firenze from the 9th February to the 13th February. We can honestly say this is amazing hotel with amazing staff. We had one small issue which was the Terrace door was constantly being left open resulting in our room being extremely exposed to the cold air, this was quickly and efficiently resolved by the staff on the reception desk placing a simple A4 note on the door in question which solved the problem. The rooms are not huge but that’s what you would expect in Venice , the plus side is the room was extremely clean throughout especially the bathroom. Every day we returned to our rooms to a small treat of chocolate or biscuits which was a nice touch. In our opinion the breakfast in the morning was outstanding with staff who would constantly supply you with food and drinks and not forgetting a warm and welcoming ambiance. The reception staff treated you with the same warm and welcoming hospitality, they offered so much advice as to where to eat and the sights to see. Would we return to this hotel? Why would you not its location is just behind St Marks Square and in the heart of all your up market outlets. If you want a hotel that makes you feel wanted and treats you like your special with clean rooms and amazing breakfast which’s sets you up for the day then this is the hotel for you. Stayed in Venice for 5 nights. Front desk staff are all Venice natives who are passionate about their city. Every morning they asked us where we were going, and if we had any hesitation, they guided us. On our arrival, Riccardo spent 20 minutes showing us many possible sites and places to explore. Andreas was unbelievably kind and gracious. And Claudia was perceptive and funny. Front desk staff all speak English. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Staffed by the amazing Halyna, you will have all your needs met - including all the Italian espresso your heart can handle! We stayed on the 4th floor where there are 3 rooms with terraces. The extra outdoor space was delightful. Location is right on the street with all the designer stores - Louis Vuitton is right across the street, but you never hear the street noise. Room was quiet and sleep came easy after all the walking and exploring Venice.
