Beautiful historic hotel with modern updates. Staff was friendly and helpful. Super convenient 3-minute walk to the train station. Right in the heart of the city. A variety of breakfast options. Our view from our balcony could not be beat.

This is a luxury hotel located on the Grande Canal and a short walk from the train station. The views of the canal were spectacular. The buffet breakfast was very good and dining outside by the canal even better. The staff graciously gave us recommendations for travel to the airport and booked the selected method for us.

Checked I. Today and I have to say it’s kind of disappointing. Locations great if you want to be in the middle of everything tourist. Patio off the room is right on the Grand Canal with a great view. But, it’s also dirty. Room needs remodeling. Doors have chipping paint. Blue carpet is dirty. Makes me sad.

We had a long weekend in Venice chose this hotel through the reviews there was a few things that let it down. Hotel did smell a little musky. Room was lovely over looked canal clean and towels replaced everyday, small mini bar would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities but I know this is not always done in Europe. Breakfast nice cakes and pastries, fruit not much too chose from needed some more, cooked breakfast was cold and scrambled egg could bounce off the floor, tea or coffee no cups or coffee needed filling every morning we went down. Reception staff weren’t not very polite or helpful. Worse if wanted a drink hot, cold or alcoholic the bar wasn’t open till 6pm and then if function was on it wasn’t open when I asked was told to go outside plenty bars!! I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to friends or family for a 4 star thought it lacked and was more 2 star

Very convenient location, train station minutes away and there is a dock at the back of the hotel for water taxis. Room, very clean and comfortable, we stayed in room 247 and there was no view but we weren’t too bothered. Very disappointed that there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, which you would have thought is standard. Breakfast was good, not full English but enough to have a hot breakfast, fruit, pastries, cereal and yoghurt. We definitely didn’t leave here hungry and it set us up for the day. We didn’t eat outside as the seagulls were everywhere, a few went out and came back in to eat in peace. Towards the end of a busy day wandering we would come back and sit at the back of the hotel watching the boats on the canal with a drink from the Japanese restaurant, I’d suggest paying for your drinks there and then rather than adding to your room as when you leave this isn’t itemised so you could have been charged for anything. The staff in the main were pleasant and friendly. We enjoyed the stay, would we return, possibly due to convenience and the quiet drink in the evening.
