Country Country

What a wonderful beautiful experience we had at Country Country family hotel. We felt looked after and cared for. It was not five star all inclusive and thank goodness it wasn;t. We got more than what we paid for. Family vibes. They took wonderful care of us. From Monique, John, Roshea, Al Marie, Rafe, Lee, Hyacinth, AJ Security, Teshawn, too many beautiful people to mention. They looked after me and my girls and our pickney. I cannot express in words the beauty of this place. Outstanding in my book. Having stayed at Hilton Rosehall and other five star accommodations in Jamaica, Country Country outshines them all. The beauty of the resort is breath taking. We booked through TUI (UK) for a two week holiday in Negril at Country Country. We booked a premium bungalow and ours sat almost on the beach. It was close to the bar and dining area. The hotel is small and friendly with check-in being quick and easy. Our cottage was clean and ready for us. We had everything we needed - fridge, kettle, coffee machine, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, hairdryer, safe and little machine to put your mozzie tabs in. You can buy the tabs from the shop across the road. Check out was just as easy. Our bill was delivered the night before, we returned the safe lock and key, our luggage was collected and brought to reception ready for our airport transfer. I'll mention the few negatives for us. 🔹No information in the cottage about the hotel or local area. We had to ask about opening hours for the bar and restaurant. 🔹The shower room needs the mould cleaning from the shower. It definitely does not look like the management photo provided. 🔹The toilet area wasn't cleaned very well during our stay and began to smell. Some of the towels were old and past their best (but clean). The positives, which absolutely outweigh the negatives. 🔹 Country Country location is fantastic - across the road there is a bank, supermarket, pharmacy, various touristy shops and a restaurant. There is also a shop to the right as you walk onto the beach one hotel along. 🔹The beach and sea were wonderful - so relaxing and safe. 🔹We ate mostly in the hotel and although waiting times are a little long the food was good and we had enough variety over two weeks to keep us going. We also ordered food to go a couple of times and ate on our veranda. 🔹Staff and guests were friendly & chatty, we enjoyed meeting new people from Jamaica, USA, Canada and the UK. 🔹 Security do a great job on the beach and the road side. Overall we had the most wonderful holiday and would absolutely stay at Country Country again.

For my first time in Jamaica, Country Country was perfect. Right on the beach, in the sea within 1 minute of leaving our beach hut. The rooms are air conditioned and have fridges so everything you need to cool off after a perfect beach day. The staff were all lovely, very welcoming and very helpful. John is the groundsman and has created a little jungle oasis by the beach. I loved it. I have never been so relaxed in my life. Food was good, plenty to choise from up and down the beach at other hotels and restaurants. 10 days eating and drinking regularly at Country Country was £500 anfmd the 10 days with breakfast was not much different. Thoroughly worth every penny. Lot's of competition on the beach for water activities and day trips. Best probably to book through the hotel but there are good guys on the beach. Romeo was a very honest beach worker. Told us exactly how much an activity would cost and exactly what would happen. Had a fantastic time on an evening catamaran cruise booked via Romeo. Also took us on a very personal trip to the blue hole and surrounds. A very decent and hard working chap. Jamaica needs the tourists dollars but you will get everything you pay for and more. Will definitely be coming back

Just stayed here 2 weeks and I’m going to give you a real report starting with the good points: Country Country has the best beach area on this stretch of Negril beach. Staff and other visitors were all amazingly friendly. Bar area is small and fun, food is fair. The less enjoyable points: an uncomfortable room! We booked a premium room, but we noticed others that appeared nicer. Ours was ground floor of a 3-story building, although we requested an upstairs room. It was dark, musty, bed was lumpy with creaky springs. There was water damage on walls and deteriorating plaster. Some bugs at night, no screens just window slats. Gurgling toilet that had trouble flushing. So, medium priced but be prepared for a camp-like experience. To be fair, we were there for crummy weather, cool & rainy. We’re not very fussy yet it didn’t meet expectations.

The staff was welcoming like family we’ve never known. They knew our names from the beginning and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and welcome. The room was beautiful, charming and cozy. The beach wasn’t tons of chairs of packed tourists but a dozen of friendly tourists who would save chairs for each other or buy a Jamaican patty for another as one walked in. I would come again and again here!
