Hideaway at Royalton Negril

Michelle and Nicholas were great butlers! The Diamond club was worth the upgrade. Fantastic snorkeling!

My experience at Royalton Hideaway was a mix of highs and lows. The resort was clearly understaffed, and while I initially attributed the poor service to the volume of guests, it became difficult to ignore what felt like prejudice toward Jamaicans. At the adults-only beach section, I watched other guests receive attentive service while I, seemingly the only Jamaican there, was repeatedly overlooked. Not once was I offered a drink, while other guests were served at their seats. To give credit where it’s due, the resort did provide champagne for my birthday, although only after several reminders. A special shout-out to Donovan though. Bless his heart, he really showed genuine hospitality and was a refreshing exception and made parts of my stay enjoyable. Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment was feeling unwelcome as a Jamaican in my own country. Hospitality should never depend on nationality, especially at a resort of this standard.

First time in Jamaica and to a Royalton Resort WOW WOW WOW the staff at the hideaway bar are amazing so full of energy and great atmosphere, special shout out to Chana & Donovan who keep this bar the life and sole of the Hideaway adult only area and your holiday. We have seen some new starters to work come to the bar in our two weeks we have been here and how they take them under their wing is fantastic as they are great role models and faces for this bar🥰

I had an amazing time!! Aaron, Chana, Ryan, Donovan, and Shanice treated us with such genuine care and love. They allowed this resort to feel like this was a home away from home. I pray they are here when we come back. Bc THEY would be the reason that I travel back.
