Royalton Negril

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome. We arrived at the airport at 11:15 and fortunately purchased a private transfer to Royalton Negril. (Nexus was great, speedy, and driver was informative about his country of Jamaica.) 1.5 hour drive. We were Diamond Club so there was not a wait upon arrival to be checked into our room. The room was ocean view, (BUT REALLY OCEAN FRONT). We were in building 2 room 2120. it was a family suite which was worth the extra $. We were introduced to our Butlers, George & Yonique, who were the best of the best. They were very attentive to our needs....made dinner reservation for us daily, made sure we had everything in our room that we requested, (Wine, champagne, wine, champagne, wine, champagne...and a little vodka) We were celebrating our 37th anniversary and our room was decorated beautifully. They did an excellent job of never letting us go hungry as food was brought to us on the beach whenever we requested. I cannot say enough about their excellent service. We only dined in the buffet for breakfast 1 time and then another guest told us about Dorado for breakfast which is ala carte . It was excellent as we had Simone for our server. Simone is an asset to this resort. She did everything in her power to serve us what we wanted. We went there every day for the remaining 9 days of our vacation. Shantoya at Dorado was excellent with her bubbly attitude and perfect smile. We ate at all of the ala carte restaurants. All were good. Grazie was enjoyable thanks to Kenton, our server. He had the greatest sense of humor and made our time in the restaurant fun. Caheim, in the Sports bar made sure we got to watch our American football team on one of the big screens (George, our Butler and the IT guy also were involved in that request.) Lincoln & Barbara (Diamond \club pool/ beach Butlers) worked their butts off for us. They deserve a promotion. Zen was one of our favorites. Shout out to SIFFORD the manager for the introduction of the evening. we enjoyed dining there 2 times during our stay. The beach is gorgeous. Many star fish and a few stingrays. NO SEAWEED. Water was warm, very warm, and so clear it was unbelievable. It would rain pretty much every day for just a bit then sunny Jamaican weather would arrive. In the event of evening rain, our Butlers transported us or there was an umbrella in your room. We have been to Jamaica several times and this was by far the best. Shows were great, Entertainment team were the best. so funny and talented. We heard complaints. We saw people complaining. Just a word. we are from the USA. We were guests in this country. We respected the people of this country. If you want things the way you get them in your country, then vacation in your country. Respect the people and the country of Jamaica. And tip them, they are serving you. Thank you for the wonderful time and we will return. (We brought 100 candy bars and handed them out to the workers every day. It was a blessing to us to see them smile when they got a treat)

Okeen, Nicholas, Daron and our housekeeper took very good care of us! We didn’t want for anything! Will definitely be back!!! Suite was awesome!!!!!

Went to the Royalton Negril with the family and an amazing time was had by all

The resort is massive. Very spread out. There is a cart that runs during the day to get around. And very odd layout (having to go down then across and then back up to get to some rooms). The rooms are nice. But things like bathtub stoppers “are being sourced” and not available. So you can’t use the tub. Coffee maker was broken, and no replacement available. Wifi is spotty at times. Food is average, although at times seems the cooling of food not adequate (cheese melting and deli meat sweating) on the buffet. The staff was all very kind, and very helpful. The grounds were nice. But the resort overall was below what I expected.

After arriving at the resort, we had mixed feelings... we even started to think that we had made the wrong choice and should have gone to one of the Secrets or Sandals resorts again... The welcome was rather cold. No one took any interest in us for a long time... We stood there confused... Since we had the Diamond package, we expected faster and greater attention... And I can say that this was the worst thing that happened to us there... From the ride to the room, I must admit that it was a very pleasant time. Jamaica is a naturally beautiful country where time is flexible..😁😁 . The daily breakfasts were tasty, although something was always slightly changed... There was always something not ordered or something was missing. But as I said, tasty. The room seems modern, but there are small details that lower the rating a bit... Sticking wardrobe doors, or drawers, creaking beds, poor TV selection, no music channels... The room as a room is one of the best located! From the room, the view is a dream... Just open door and u can see beach ,pool.. fantastic view. Great showers, great bathtub, excellent air conditioning. location was ideal for us.m. The restaurants, I must admit, are very nice... The food is very good. The Japanese one surprised us with communal eating and singing... A great idea! We didn’t have a chance to visit the Italian one because it wasn’t open. Cream a La Cream was the butler hosting. Gregory and Champagne made us seriously think about returning to Jamaica. Champagne was very nice, she did a good job especially on last few days. Gregory is a separate chapter. He made us feel exceptional, he read our minds. Everything he does, he does with passion; you can see he loves what he does. I think Gregory is the best... And I hope everyone will reach his level. drinks was great with alcohol 😁😁 The beach is very good, clean water, clean beach , on my list it’s behind Varadero and the Maldives... The last day was fantastic.. The farewell was excellent... butters made great surprise in our room. most of stuff are friendly but Gregory was the best.. when he told us I'll do it means will be done.. honestly we had great time.. I recommend it. We will definitely return to Jamaica... and who knows maybe same resort. most important to us was clean beach without sargassum . don't check forecasts don't check weather just go...u won't be disappointed .
