Papillon Lagoon Reef

Came here for our honeymoon stayed 3 days then 3 days away on safari then back for 7 days , hotel is very clean and the staff are so friendly and welcoming rooms are spacious and serviced daily breakfast lunch and dinner were very good plenty of variety and all cooked very well , as it was our honeymoon we had champagne waiting in our decorated room on arrived. The waiting staff were excellent especially Omar who served us nearly every day and was very polite and friendly, we can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. Thank you all so very much

Of all the Beach Hotels we stayed at in Diani , this easily pass as the worst of them all , very unprofessional staff almost missed our return back flight as they detained us at the gate to confirm if we left behind our room keys . We explained countless times to the security guard at the gate that we left the key on table inside our room but they still had to keep us waiting as they checked if what we saying is true . What is the cost of a room key in relation to destroying a guest’s feeling about your property? Their rooms are also substandard in every sense , terrible scalding showers inside bathtubs very risky to shower in them ,old creaking beds! Our rooms were never cleaned up the the whole day till we had to complain severally and then that is when they sent a room steward by 5pm for room cleaning ! That is total disrespect to paying guest but again it it shows how unprofessional this hotel can be ! The food variety and options are so limited there is nothing to write home about . The only saving grace are some of the nice staff at the restaurant and Pool bar area but their Front office team can do with a lot of training in customer care , it is simply lacking with them !

We had the best honeymoon.Very clean resort,beautiful enviroment,Staff are very friendly.Good food.Only the locals at the beach were very aggresive. Thanks to the hotel security for ptotecting the hotel guests. Thanks to our safari guide sally for an amazing safari in amboseli +tsavo east. Liam safari made the best recommendations to say in papillon lagoon reef. very honest tour company and the best for safari in diani. Good location and staff were fantastic. Seamless check in process with the nicest staff and even allowed us to check in early as we arrived earlier than expected. The resort has alot to work on in terms of modernizing or atleast maintaining the rooms. Bathroom was terrible, very old and not well set up. Cocktails weren't great and food variety at buffets were limited. This hotel could be outstanding if changes are made, they already have the most wonderful staff and they are the true highlight staying here

We stayed here for four nights as a family. Overall, the service was okay, although meals could sometimes take a while and the many trainees would benefit from a little more supervision and training. Our biggest disappointment was our interaction with the Front Office Manager, Mr. Isaiah. We simply asked to see the room allocated to us before making payment, but this resulted in almost 30 minutes of back-and-forth, with company policy being repeatedly cited. We understand and respect policies, but we also believe there should be room for empathy, flexibility and good customer service. The rest of our stay was fine, but unfortunately this interaction left a lasting negative impression. We share this feedback constructively, as we believe a more customer-focused approach would make the experience much better.
