Kudafushi Resort & Spa

Lovely little island with great beach villas (in good condition) and good seaview. Reef in decent condition, though not too many sightings of big fish. Great food, staff is awesome, very friendly, we never had to wait long for anything, staff seems to like their jobs. Pool should get new tiles. We liked the "island time", so there is one hour difference with Male time, what brings one hour longer daylight, was helpful for us. Dive center also big thumbs up, found it quite expensive though.

When we first came to Kudafushi in 2024, our plan was simple: visit the Maldives once in our lifetime and experience this very special place with our family. Well… apparently once was not enough! 😊 Two years later, in 2026, we are back at Kudafushi – and that probably says more than anything else about how much we love this resort. What makes Kudafushi so special for us is not only the beautiful island, but above all its atmosphere. It feels incredibly warm, relaxed and almost like being part of a big family. Everyone is friendly, welcoming and always has a smile for you. We were also amazed to see so many of the same staff members again after two years. For us, this says a lot about the positive atmosphere and the people behind this resort. Kudafushi is especially wonderful for families. Our children – three girls, now 10 and 5, and our one-year-old little one – absolutely love it here. It is so easy for children and parents to meet other families, make friends and spend time together without anything feeling organized or forced. The Leisure House quickly becomes a natural meeting point, and the whole team there is fantastic. We would especially like to mention Asha, who has a truly wonderful way with children. She doesn’t simply follow an entertainment program – she gets to know the children, understands what they enjoy and makes them feel genuinely special. Whether it is doing extra Henna tattoos for our girls because she knows how much they love them, doing art or simply spending time with them, you can feel that she really cares. A huge thank you to Asha and the entire Leisure House team! ❤️ The same warmth can be found everywhere on the island. At the bar, there is always a smile – and even the children are treated like special guests with their own cocktails or a babyccino. These little things make such a difference. The restaurant team is equally wonderful. The waiters are incredibly kind and attentive, especially with the children. From folding funny hats out of napkins to giving them handmade necklaces, there are so many thoughtful gestures that our girls will remember long after the holiday is over. Kudafushi is beautiful, of course – but beautiful islands can be found in many places in the Maldives. What makes Kudafushi truly special are the people and the atmosphere they create. Thank you to the entire Kudafushi team for making us feel at home again. ❤️ We are very happy that our “once in a lifetime” turned into “we simply had to come back” – and somehow we have a feeling that our second visit might not be our last. 😊

This is an incredibly beautiful island with wonderful snorkelling. We saw so many fascinating fish underwater, including unicorn‑fish, black‑tip reef sharks, jack‑fish and groupers. The coral near kudafushi was in great condition, and marine life was abundant. I absolutely loved the island beaches. The sand is incredibly soft and fine, a real joy to walk barefoot along the shore. Our villa was very spacious with excellent privacy. What surprised us most was that the resort never felt crowded. Whether at the main restaurant or the bars, there was plenty of space and we never experienced over‑crowding. Special thanks go to our butler Niki for his outstanding service. He arranged a wonderful upgraded water‑villa for us. Even when the resort was almost fully‑booked, he managed to secure another villa for us to use for several hours after our check‑out. This made our departure much more relaxed and comfortable. We truly appreciate all his extra efforts. Highly recommended!

One of the few affordable hotels that have preserved the spirit of the old, real Maldives, with its authenticity, privacy, without excess gloss and the rapidly bursting "ultra all inclusive". The island and the room stock are carefully looked after, and the team deserves only high marks. 100% real Maldives. I liked it very much.
