NH Collection Maldives Reethi Resort

We’ve been to this island a few times—most recently in December 2024, before NH took over—and again in September/October 2026—and I can say that, yes, quite a bit has changed. Much of it for the better. For one thing, there are the completely renovated bungalows and villas, with functional furnishings—for example, there are USB ports (USB-A and USB-C) on each side of the bed, and the outlets comply with the British standard (UK Type G), so be sure to bring an adapter. There’s also a large LG flat-screen TV with HDMI ports; here, too, it’s better to bring your own cable, since the hotel’s own Streamcast doesn’t work very well. Free Wi-Fi is now available throughout the island and in every room; the speed varies depending on the time of day and the weather ;-) The Sunset Bar now has a really nice seating area (though there could be a few more seats) with “sofa-like” lounge chairs and actual tables, Oh, and there’s now a large infinity pool in front of the former main bar; the old wooden bar has been replaced by a more spacious one. A few minor details of the former “island charm” are still missing, but they’re working on it. There’s a meeting with management once a week, and the general manager, Malroy, is very approachable; he listens attentively to constructive feedback and tries to implement it promptly: for example, there used to be all kinds of freshly squeezed juices for breakfast, and now there are only three different kinds—but after a few days (they had to get the machine first), you can once again have any juice you want made to order. As for the food itself: it’s still of good quality; it’s just that the presentation isn’t (yet) what it used to be. However, both General Manager Malroy and Chef Allessandro are now familiar with the photos from the past and are working to improve this over the coming weeks and months. The service at the restaurant is top-notch; I'd especially like to thank Bharati and Sayed, who made sure I had plenty of coffee, especially at breakfast ;-) Room were cleaned twice a day and our housekeeping guy Shahedul surprised us from time to time with fancy decorations on the bed (see pictures). Thank you Shahedul. A few last words: Diving, is a bit expensive, see the attached price lists, but well you are there now. Expect some change but you you know, change is a constant. The hotel accomodation and facilities were excellent, and all the staff incredible. Nothing was too much trouble. We could not fault anything, and would highly recommend the resort to everyone

Our six-day holiday in Maldives was filled with wonderful surprises. We’d like to express our gratitude to Melly, Karuna and Win for their exceptional, attentive service. We hope to visit again soon.

The Visit was amazing the food was great and the employs were very kind. Bharati, Winlai, Suraj, Smoite, Karuna, Sneha and Milly were very courteous. They always smile and treat you very good.

Melly is such a vibrant presence! She doesn’t just make you feel welcome — she makes you feel alive! Her energy is contagious, her joy for life is genuine, and she has this beautiful feminine energy that lights up everything around her. What makes her truly special is her incredible intuition. She seems to sense exactly what you need before you even ask. Somehow, she magically appears with something in her hand that you were just about to wish for! :)) She’s fantastic! I honestly have no idea how she knows everything! There’s something so precious about being surrounded by people like her while on holiday. They make everything feel lighter, easier, warmer, and so much more enjoyable. Congratulations to NH Collection for having people like Melly representing the resort. She brings not only professionalism and exceptional service, but also something that simply cannot be taught — a natural gift for connecting with people and making them feel special. I know I’ll miss this beautiful resort, but I’ll also miss Melly’s joyful spirit, her wonderful vibe, and her truly one-of-a-kind presence. Some people don’t just take care of you during your holiday. They become part of the beautiful memories you take home. Melly is definitely one of them! ❤️ thank u
