Riu Palace Maldivas

As heading says, this resort is truly exceptional, island is beautiful, Junior Suite wonderful, Ken our housekeeper ensured everything was always clean and added special touches. Must compliment the team at Palm Restaurant, specifically, Edi the Chef, who was always friendly, took time to ask us about our day (every meal), then especially to Supervisor Janaka, who did same, always made an effort to come over and see how we were, and checked if we needed anything at all, and then his team of waiters and helpers were just brilliant, friendly, attentive and super helpful(so sorry lost their names). The Pool Bar staff were just incredible, and we have photos with so many teams, including them, and will try and mention all as they are all special: Roshan, Pasi, Desy, Thanuka, Anu, Poonum, Chamara, Puja, Chamod, Thushan, Sanju, Chamika, Marcel, hope I mentioned all (and the spelling too😊), but such a good team and always friendly with a brief chat, helpful and ensuring glasses were always topped up with our “proper” favourite! Must also mentioned it rained most of our 2nd week, and the bar team and of course the ground staff were out sweeping up the rainwater and wiping chairs for us to take our seats again after the rain. Everyone on Island is always so friendly, and don’t see this anywhere else, compliments to you all on the Island. There is one suggestion for Senior Management, we aware there is no smoking under cover, but there is a designated smoking areas to side of the undercover area, however at the nice seating on beach for sunset drinks, there is no designated smoking area, it would be nice, if a small area there, just a few, to be made non smoking, especially right side, as I believe the wind generally blows onshore from the West, therefore will blow smoke away from the non smoking area, that would make the "sunset drinks" even more special especially for those who do not smoke.

Hi, Everyone 👋😊🍹   This is our 6th time at the RIU Palace Maldives  & it just gets better every time we are there. Beautiful place to enjoy your holiday. We came here this time for Christmas & New year WOW the effort put into making it perfect for all the guests is simply amazing The decorations were beautiful & the hard work the staff put in to make it all perfect  Also Christmas eve & New year eve they have  a gala dinner,  there are 2 seatings & the food is exquisite & a wonderful service, Thank you.   We were in a beach villa room with balcony & it was wonderful every day to be able to look out  at the white powder sand & the turquoise sea, absolutely stunning & surrounded by palm trees 🌴absolutely heaven on earth.   The room was very well maintained by our cleaner Vikash and many different items for the top of the bed like bears, & different animals & many more made from the towels everyday.  Exceptional clean & tidy room thank you Vikash was a pleasure coming back to our room. The supervisor Yohan was very helpful to & friendly to speak to.   We met up with 1 of the cleaners Chamara who we have got to no over the years & he is doing very well cleaning the beach villas.   The restaurants have stunning food & everything from breakfast, lunch & dinner especially in the buffet called the Palm with all the wonderful staff including the chefs Denver & Edi & the waiters & waitresses work so hard & such fun, they really enjoy speaking with all the guests & make you feel so special & the chef Edi  would make us specialty’s when we asked He is such a great guy he cant do enough for you. All the staff are truly wonderful.  The other restaurants are lovely to especially the Krystal & steak restaurant. Every night the beach would be dressed with beautiful coloured material lit up with candels  & lights around the palm trees which creates a lovely relaxing ambiance, the theme nights  like the white night, flower power night & world night are fantastic evenings over at the Atoll side & again all decorated for each individual night. Also around the swimming pools would be lit up with different colour lights at night to. There are live bands who are excellent & you can ask for tunes & they would play them & sing the tunes & like you getting up to dance. They are so good and then later on in the evening they go over to the Atol side which is always very lively & the DJ’s also go over to the Atol side for the evening events, but there is always something at the palace side to with bands & DJ’s all very well organised for your entertainment.    Atoll side - beach bar so entertaining  & really good fun on the Saturdays at the  Pool party They have the DJ - Sanju & lilana & BBQ & stalls.   Pace Singhe Nandana Jessica Shamee  Isuru Chamee Rashin Marchee   The Entertainment staff  Sanju & Lalina & Amy are such great people &  Also, Donis & Charu.    In the day times around 3pm they do the bingo to its great fun & such a laugh Olay 🤣 Boooo 🤣 missi missi  Sanju makes necklaces which are so good made with palm leaves & hats as well.   Special thanks to Shifaz general manager Such great fun & wonderful to have a chat with Also, Yapa & Patricia & Kadek thank you.   Tharaka head of housekeeping lovely gentleman with a kind heart. Mo head of laundry lovely to see you again.   The Sports bar is a great place to go, this is on the Atol side, a nice walk across the bridge & amazing cocktails 🍹 & there are tasty snacks Plenty of sports to watch in the AC bar Fernando is the manager there & he is a great guy thanks for all your hospitality Amazing & Ashan good fun to.   We also had a massage at the Renova Spa Was absolutely wonderful & the girls in Renova Ata & Kadek were fantastic very enjoyable    Reception was also very helpful  They Cant do enough for you Always ready to help Nittu was very helpful  Thank you   The Mini bar Drink guys for your room get to  know the items you like & this is replenished everyday, happy days. absolutely great, they drive around in the drink’s buggy,  Mohamed is so friendly thank you so much.   We met really lovely people again on this trip, Like from the time before when we were here & we all still remain friends till this day If you are considering booking this hotel  In my opinion you will not be disappointed  The friendliness & the professionalism of the staff, beautiful scenery, food, cleanliness of the hotel the beautiful sea & sea life all make it a wonderful holiday to remember & you would definitely want to return again & again. We did & have been fortunate enough to have  been here 6 times & looking for a 7 th time hopefully in near future.    Thank you all so very very much for everything. Truly amazing sensational holiday & we will definitely be back to see you all again in the not to distant future. I would have given it 5 stars but the only option was 4 stars. It’s a beautiful island and we were lucky enough to have a water villa. The staff are amazing especially Daisy in the bar remembered every drink we wanted. Food was amazing and plenty of choices. If you are lucky enough to go I would recommend the sea plane and request a sunset room or villa.

Riu Palace Maldives thank you so much it was amazing to be there. Everything was perfect.Staff is amazing… from first day they lear your name an all your stay they know you ….I can not say any thing bad about this hotel …it was just amazing…. I have there Xmas and New Year’s Eve gala diner …it has wouw factor all the way. Only one small think 🤔 from New Year’s Eve come different tip of customers more grups off 8-12 and they are so loud no bothered about another guest. But this is not a hotel’s fault…… I will go back any time it’s so relaxing and it heaven on earth ❤️

we went to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Its a long flight from the UK but worth it!. I cannot speak for the Atoll side (as did not venture there), but the palace side service was top notch. Nothing too much trouble and staff who remembered our names, drinks, likes ect. god knows how!. Our room was cleaned daily by Vikash to a good standard and the towel art was amazing. Only downside was that we were in the furthest block and I struggle with walking. But never mind!. All in all good service clean rooms nice food and spectacular sunsets and beaches
