Some holidays are great, and then there are those that you know are going to be special from the moment you arrive. Our 8 nights at RIU Palace Maldives was definitely one of those. From the minute you arrive, there is just something special about the place. The setting and views are absolutely incredible, but what really made the holiday stand out for us was the staff. Everyone we dealt with, from the garden team to the restaurant, bar and serving staff, was genuinely friendly, welcoming and always willing to help. It made the entire stay feel that much more personal. The food was another major highlight. We honestly did not expect the buffet to be as good as it was. Every meal, from breakfast through to dinner, was superb with a great selection and consistently high quality. Travelling with kids, we originally thought we would probably only do one of the restaurants once or twice, but the buffet was basically restaurant quality every night. It never felt repetitive or like your typical resort buffet. A special mention to the Chef running the buffet — world class. Thank you to you and your entire team of chefs. The quality and consistency of the food throughout our stay was exceptional and played a huge part in making the holiday so memorable. The combination of the incredible surroundings, excellent food and genuinely friendly staff made this one of those holidays that is difficult to fault. An amazing 8 nights and an experience we will remember for a long time. Hopefully we will be back again soon. I honestly do not know how we are going to top this holiday.

My wife and I had the joy of celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary at Riu Palace Maldivas, and it was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional — every staff member we encountered, from room service attendants and buggie drivers to restaurant staff, chefs, bar service, and entertainment teams, went above and beyond to make our stay special. The atmosphere was serene and relaxing, perfectly suited for a milestone celebration. The food was consistently excellent, offering both variety and quality, and the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Our anniversary was made delightful by the thoughtful touches and hospitality that made us feel celebrated and cared for. We wholeheartedly recommend Riu Palace Maldivas to anyone seeking a resort that combines outstanding service, delicious cuisine, and a welcoming environment. Huge shoutout to Anu, Puja, Samee, Thanuka, Chamara, Pasi and Chamika! The whole bar team is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They recommended amazing non-alcoholic tropical mocktails for us. The fruit drinks are fresh, tasty and beautifully made. We really enjoyed our time at the bar thanks to their great service. 10/10!

While the beautiful ocean, pleasant breeze, delicious food, and fun events alone made our time at Riu Palace Maldives perfect, it was the warm care and delightful conversations with the staff that truly made it a resort we definitely want to visit again. At Paradise Pool Bar, Anu crafted cocktails that were a delight for both the eyes and the palate. The 'Anu Special' tasted just as amazing as its beautiful purple hue, and the crunchy texture of the passion fruit seeds was absolutely wonderful. Abu at Palm Restaurant is from Thinadhoo City in the Huvadhu Atoll, and he shared such fascinating stories about his hometown's location and local economy. Thanks to his linguistic wit—effortlessly switching between Korean, Japanese, and Chinese—our table and the surrounding guests were constantly bursting into laughter whenever he was around. At Yuhi Restaurant, we had a fantastic time chatting with Shuau about Sri Lanka and Korea. I was really impressed by his genuinely professional service that never felt overbearing, not to mention his handsome looks. I also can't forget the thoughtfulness of Shibah, a buggy driver. He always greeted passing guests first, and worried that people might be exhausted walking under the scorching sun, he would always stop to offer a ride if he had empty seats. I was truly amazed by his attentiveness when he remembered our room and dropped us off right in front of it without us even having to ask. I also want to express my deep gratitude to Sijo, Pasi, Chamara, Chamika, and Samee. They always took such great care of us with bright smiles and true sincerity. It was wonderful to see them treating not just my wife and me, but all the guests with the exact same level of dedication. Thanks to the breathtaking nature, great facilities, and the incredible staff who made it all so special, Riu Palace has become the resort of a lifetime for us—a place we simply must return to.
