Disappointing Service and Poor Communication, Despite Excellent Reception Staff Our experience at Ambre Hotel was unfortunately below our expectations. Special thanks to Vidish at reception for his warm welcome and professionalism during check-in. We would also like to thank Saloni and Nicoletta from reception for their kindness and excellent service. Unfortunately, the room was average, and the service in the restaurant and bar fell short of our expectations. After dinner, we asked Mr. Laxman to arrange our cake to be brought to our room. He refused, mentioned that our room was too far away and that he did not have a key. We found this explanation unprofessional. We then asked if we could leave the cake at the restaurant while enjoying a drink at the bar, but this was also refused because the restaurant was closing at 21:00.We were left to carry the cake to our room ourselves. The bar service was equally disappointing, as we often felt ignored when trying to order drinks. Housekeeping also needs improvement. When requesting an iron, the staff seemed annoyed, and the response time was extremely slow. Communication between housekeeping and reception was poor too. When housekeeping was unreachable, the operator repeatedly redirected our calls instead of taking the request and ensuring it was handled. Guests should not have to call countless times to obtain basic services. Overall, there appears to be a lack of communication, coordination, and professionalism across several departments. While the reception team deserves recognition for their good service, these repeated issues negatively affected our stay. We hope management takes this feedback constructively and improves staff communication, responsiveness, and guest service to deliver the experience expected from a Sunlife resort of this standard. Ambre a very good location. Good sea front n view. Neat n clean resort. House keeper Ragini take care of room very professionally n very cooperative. The massage at Glow by Reena was very soothing n relaxing. I had a memorable stay at Ambre. Improvement: More vegetarian food should added on the Menu, preferably Indian vegetarian medium spicy.

Stayed here for three nights and had a wonderful time! Attentive staff, lovely food and a wonderful atmosphere! The only thing that could be improved was the breakfast offerings which could be more versatile. Missed pork bacon which we only got on one morning and it was rather chewy. Other than that - nothing to complain about! Lovely hotel I definitely will heartily recommend! Special mention to Sha in the Italian restaurant, Sandeep and Miguel at La Plage restaurant. A special thanks to Exec. Assistant Manager H. Ibrahim who was very accommodating and kind to us!

We had the most incredible stay at Ambre Mauritius. From the moment we arrived, the service was flawless. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The food at the restaurant was outstanding, fresh and full of variety. The atmosphere was peaceful, relaxing, yet full of life. It's the perfect place to truly unwind and recharge.
