La Pirogue Mauritius

I’ve taken my time to write this review as I don’t usually do this. I usually give feedback in person. However, this time, I believe I need to write my appreciation for the whole world to know. I was blessed to be able to celebrate my 60th birthday at Le Morne restaurant, La Pirogue on Saturday 26 September 2026. From the very start of the communications done via email and WhatsApp from overseas, the service and support were perfect. They responded to every query on time and with clarity. When I met with the team in person, namely Kavita, the event organiser, Vikram, the Executive Chef and Suman, Le Morne restaurant service manager, they were all very friendly & professional who answered every single one of my queries with ease and an open to negotiation mind. I felt immediately at ease and confident that I had chosen the right place for my special day. The beauty of the location together with the friendly & professional team that I met on that day made my decision very easy. All through the time prior to the celebration, I received only support and great advice from Kavita and Vikram with whom I was in contact more often than with others. Closer to the day, I also got to meet Sachin, the F&B manager and Amrish, the director, who assured me of their complete support. That was very nice of them to welcome my husband and I in such a beautiful way. We did not expect it and really appreciate this gesture. By then, every time we arrived at the gate, from the people at the security gate to the reception and others along the way, my husband & I were welcomed like family. All the staff knew us & welcomed us like we were back home. We only went three times. It was very heartwarming. Vikram consulted me regarding the menu and created an amazing work of art that every single one of my guests are still raving about today. He took into consideration my multiple allergies together with those of my daughter and my wish for particular foods accordingly to life choices. He created the BEST menu I have ever encountered in my life. I will be forever grateful for him and his team. Even my cake that I asked to be lactose free, came out exactly like the photo I had given him! Stunning and delicious! The quality of the food; the presentation and the service of the staff in the buffet was simply the best. I received comments such as “100%!”, “It was perfect!”, “Amazing!”, “The BEST!”, “We went back for more, it was so yummy!”. I still can’t get over how good the whole thing was. He was also there during the day and during the night to oversee everything. Kavita was equally amazing in her willingness to help and support. She shouldered me at every step of the way. She came through with everything she promised and not one little detail was amiss. Her vision, help and support made it easy for us when we arrived on the day with the centerpieces (which I chose to organise). Everything was ready as she had previously organised. What a lady! I am forever grateful to her. Suman and his team were there ready when we arrived during the day to help us finalise my vision of the place for my celebration. His professionalism and effectiveness shone brightly. Hats off to him! He was the same during the evening. He looked sharp in his suit and so did his team. They were friendly, yet extremely attentive and I could not have asked for a better team to help handle the night with my guests. They were amazing. The bar staff were friendly and very good. All my guests complimented on how wonderful their cocktails were; how friendly they were and how clean they kept everything. The whole team removed and packed everything after the celebration and kept them all for us. The next day, when my husband and I went to retrieve our things, again we met with lovely staff along the way asking about the party and wishing me a happy birthday. Our things were packed neatly and the concierge staff helped us to bring them all to our car. We were offered breakfast by Chef Vikram who we happened to meet and when we could not, insisted on preparing a basket for us. The friendliness is in his DNA. What a beautiful person. I would recommend La Pirogue and their amazing team for any special occasion that you want to be memorable. They make dreams come true. Trust me. It happened to me. Thank you La Pirogue but a very special one to Vikram, Kavita, Suman, Sachin, Amrish and all their supporting teams. Bonne continuation. May God bless you all.

A beautiful hotel with a stunning beach and excellent service! Everything was perfect, from the friendly staff to the delicious food and wonderful atmosphere. We also had our wedding there, and everything was perfectly organized down to the smallest detail, making our special day truly unforgettable. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend La Pirogue to anyone visiting Mauritius! 🌴🤍

Amazing experience. Spotless resort outside and inside. Great facilities. Food at Le Morne was outstanding, tasty and delicious. Service by Daavinen, Suman, Sher Singh and Jeremy was superb that made experience memorable.
