Le Palmiste

I was satisfied with the service. The resort was clean and tidy. It had a pleasant atmosphere. They served varied breakfasts and dinners. The room was cleaned every day.

We absolutely loved Le Palmiste Resort and Spa! It is located very close to the lovely Trou Aux Biches Beach. On arrival we were greeted very warmly by all the staff in this beautiful resort. Our room was spacious, airy and attractive with a nice bathroom, quiet, efficient air conditioning, fridge, tea and coffee and super comfortable beds! The rooms are cleaned daily by friendly and caring staff. We had a terrace in front overlooking one of the pools. I have to say it was delightful. The restaurant was great, very pretty, with an array of delicious food, all freshly made. The choices were varied and the staff were welcoming. I must say I really missed the food when I got home as it was so tasty and healthy! I would say that Le Palmiste strikes a happy balance between being relaxing and lively. The swimming pools are lovely, there are varied evening entertainments. Staff will organise island tours for you. We had a super relaxing massage from Gaya in the spa, and we made frequent trips to the beach to swim in the turquoise water and watch the sunset. There is a good supermarket near the hotel. As you can tell we really loved Le Palmiste and had one of our best holidays ever! The staff were so welcoming. Highly recommended!

Nice staff, they did their very best to help with all requests! Very nice variety of food for dinner. Nice pools and atmosphore. We enjoyed our stay here. Very close to the beach and supermarket.

We have had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas at Le Palmiste, Troux au Bische! Good location near the beach; really nice hotel, comfortable and clean rooms; beautiful gardens with several pools. Good breakfast-buffet. The best was the always friendly, service-minded and nice staff! Our family of 5 from Norway have had the best stay with Le Palmiste!!

We had a lovely stay overall at le Palmiste. While only 3 star the hotel is peaceful, clean, quiet and 99%of the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The evening meals were delicious The main Receptionist Poonam is unfortunately abrupt, uncaring a little rude, lacking in patience and not a sincere person. She became annoyed as my wife couldn't understand her and from that moment on went out of her way to make things difficult for us. We arrived tired, hungry and my wife hadn't eaten in over 24 hours due to her having ulcerative colitis and always concerned about eating something to upset her health further. We are 67 and 72 so just wanted to rest and get a bite to eat but the very annoyed poohnam wouldn't allow us to use our room although it was ready at 1pm until 2 pm and made us both feel wretched for asking. Due to language barriers and Poohnams irritation and lack of patience we were led to believe we could eat at 2 pm in the restaurant as we'd missed breakfast on arrival but this was a misunderstanding. Had we known we could have eaten earlier. So the long story short was every time we encountered Poonam she was unfriendly, unhelpful and insincere. We Couldn't have beach towels, couldn't loan the parasol, she couldn't phone tui to check what time we'd be collected for the airport etc etc but when my wife asked Philip why Tui couldn't be contacted as we were now getting concerned he instructed Poonam to ring them and she did straight away... Every other member of staff was amazing, friendly, helpful and many stood out for their genuine hospitality and care. The young boys from Nepal couldn't do enough for you. Philip and AJay always went above and beyond in making sure you had everything you needed. The cooks and waiting staff were so lovely that it all added to making this 3 star hotel feel like a home from home. Beds are comfortable, rooms are large and clean. Aircon is excellent and the room safe is free. Location is excellent for the beach and a local supermarket. Buses run close by and are very cheap to use. The beach itself is fabulous and very clean. If you want to do day trips I'd ask Philip to help you arrange it. Very helpful and reliable service. Had we not had to deal with Poonam then this would have had 10" rating of us. Small things that could be done to improve things but by far the best thing would be to replace Poonam as I talked with others who had experienced her lack of support and compassion... Dikash ( I hope I've spelled that correctly) stood out as a very welcoming, friendly and charming young lady who also works on reception and she was delightful to speak with so if you want to make the most of this beautiful little place just avoid the rude receptionist Poonam and you'll have the best time. And Poonam ( the first letter of your name is scratched out on your badge so I hope I got that right but I've included a photo so no one else can steal your legacy) please consider that when people arrive they have often been travelling for over 24 hours, they are tired, hungry and some may also be dealing with health issues like my wife. They have spent an enormous amount of money for possibly a once in a life time experience so if you can be anything then be kind!!
