Riu Palace Mauritius

We are leaving the hotel today after a 2 week stay. It’s been lovely, staff friendly, food good and we’ve met some great people. Vinesh at the Elite pool bar works so hard all day every day making sure drinks are flowing. We would definitely recommend to friends, and may come back in a few years.

We stayed at the hotel in May 2026. This was our first trip to Mauritius. We also stayed in RIU hotels for the first time. The impressions from the hotel are very good. The room had a garden view. The room was renovated and clean. The room had a comfortable sofa and a bed with a good mattress. A comfortable bathroom with a shower and two sinks. The room had a minibar with soft drinks and beer, which was replenished daily. The cleaning was daily and good. Nutrition in the main restaurant was organized perfectly. We liked the fresh juices for breakfast, especially the watermelon juice. The waiters' service was the best. The waiters' service was the best. Snorkeling was good. We would like to thank the hotel management for a good stay.

Regardless of hotel star rating, a hotel is only as good as its staff and the Rui Palace team were absolutely amazing, every team member from rooms, to bars, restaurant and reception were friendly, courteous and were focused on ensuring our stay was most pleasurable. The hotel itself was wonderful, first and foremost it is in a lovely fully inclusive location, some might consider it remote as there is no town nearby but it suited us extremely well and there is plenty of activities to keep you occupied with access to watersports, in house activities inc tours, Le Monde to climb if feeling energetic (Breathtaking views so a must) plus numerous excursions available. We hired a car in the hotel to explore a bit beyond so in addition to the hotel the ABC car rental was very good value and seamless to rent the car. Food and drink was plentiful, the buffet was fresh and varied plus there are a number of a la Carte restaurants, but I do suggest you download the hotel app as soon as you arrive to lock in a booking as its very popular. Bars are plentiful with a range of great cocktails, spirits, wines and beers, the swim up bar is wonderful as is the main building bars including a themed bar serving various concoctions. Accommodation is clean, comfortable and well appointed, our junior suite room was spacious with a stocked mini bar and a lovely veranda, prior to arrival we did read a less than positive review about insects in the room but bear in mind that the hotel is next to a tropical forest so you may experience the odd guest into your room but the odd spider or ant was no different to back home. The Riu Palace is a most wonderful hotel for many reasons, we had the most amazing stay and we cannot thank the hotel team for being welcoming and making our stay a most memorable holiday, thank you to all at Riu Palace.

Location is good Atmosphere is wonderful the view is breathtaking Rooms are wide and the view is amazing but we didn’t like the fact that the bathroom are not separated by a door or at least had curtains also the restroom has not water rinser which is in convenient for Muslim community Value is average Cleanliness is average the bed sheets had stains and we had to change them Noise level excellent the place is very calm Service very good Amenities internet is a little bit slow

My partner and I booked our honeymoon at the Riu Palace through Riu Class, and we fell absolutely in love with this place! The entire experience was pure magic 🙌, and we are already planning to book our next stay here ! The reception staff welcomed us with so much warmth and were incredibly,even let us check out late for free! When we arrived, our room decoration was stunning for our honeymoon, and the complimentary wine was a beautiful touch 🥰 We spent unforgettable days relaxing by the tremendous pool, burning off energy with the fun aqua-sports 🏊‍♂️, and dancing at the amazing White Night concert. And the food? The buffet was just wow every single day! 😍 A piece of our hearts stayed at La Rivière Restaurant, thanks to the wonderful Lola. 🫶🏻 Thank you, Riu Palace, for the honeymoon of our dreams. We can’t wait to come back! ✨
