Riu Turquoise

Jahmel and Yash were so amazing!!! Very entertaining and friendly ! I would actually visit RIU Mauritius because of then. My husband and I had the best time with them!

Personally I will recommend you to visit this place. My and my wife really love it and surely we will repeat.

Had an amazing time at Riu Turquoise. The welcoming was very good , the lady at the reception was helpful and gave us informations about the hotel once check in has been done. The food was excellent , great variety of choices for lunch and dinners but it was quite repetitive as we spent two nights there. Rakesh & Leonardo were amazing at the pool bar. Really excellent customer service from them . Room was good , but not great view as we were in front of the lobby. Room was very clean , and as we were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my husband's birthday we were offered a nice bottle of sparking wine upon arrival and a beautiful decoration on our bed . The only negative part , was that there was not much animation during the day at the pool bar as it used to be in the past . The aqua gym should have been done at the pool bar like it used to be before . But in overall it was an amazing get away and will definitely be back

It’s obvious there’s no manager here. The staff are just standing around doing nothing, while customers have nowhere to sit—even though at least half the tables are empty, they’re dirty and haven't been cleared after the previous diners finished over 30 minutes ago, leaving the food to be scattered by birds.

I am very disappointed with my experience at RIU Turquoise Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was extremely poor. The welcome at reception was very bad. There was no greeting, no smile, and no warm welcome at check-in. It gave us a very negative first impression. We also spoke to the AGM, Mr. Vivek, about our concerns, but he was not helpful at all. We raised the issue that the lunch and dinner buffets were almost the same every day, with very limited choices for guests who do not eat beef. Instead of trying to assist or offer a solution, he dismissed our concerns. When we told him we would leave a review about our experience, he replied that we were "very free to put one" and that it was the least he cared about. That level of customer service from management is unacceptable. Another disappointing experience happened at the swimming pool. We have stayed at many hotels across Mauritius, and this is the first time security came to us at the pool to tell us our time was up and that we needed to leave the premises. We were not even consuming anything at that point—we were simply getting ready to leave. It felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. To make matters worse, I accidentally left one of my bags at the hotel. I called several times asking for an update, but no one gave me any feedback. I waited 4–5 days, and nobody ever called me back. In the end, I had to travel nearly two hours from the East to the South just to collect my bag because they were so unhelpful over the phone. When I arrived, they told me they had my bag all along, yet they never contacted me to let me know. The only positive part of our stay was the animation team and the bar staff. They were excellent, friendly, welcoming, and always had a positive attitude. They were the only staff members who made us feel like valued guests, and they deserve recognition for their great service. Overall, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I have had in a hotel in Mauritius. Poor management, unhelpful staff, repeated buffet food with limited options for non-beef eaters, and no care for guests' concerns. I would not recommend this hotel.
