SALT of Palmar

We have nearly completed our first week of a 2 week holiday and just could not wait until we got home to write a review. This hotel is most certainly a precious gem and unspoken secret. If it’s the personal touch you are looking for in a holiday salt of palmer is the place to be. From the un seen hero’s (the house keeping team) to the managers you are made to feel special. The food is spectacular, the views are amazing and the attention to detail is just perfect. We are already planning our return next year

Wonderful hotel with great attention to detail in everything they do. From the service and food to the rooms and everything in between, you can really see how much care goes into creating the experience. The hotel was exceptionally clean and well maintained, with a calm, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The design is full of character, and the beach is stunning. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay. A special mention to Samantha one of the cleaners, who did an exceptional job of keeping our room spotless and making sure everything was perfect each day. Overall, an amazing place to stay.

SALT of Palmar sits on one of the best beaches in Mauritius. Although this is considered the windy side of the island, the cool trade winds are a welcome respite from the tropical heat. It’s green, lush, and everything you hope a tropical island will be. There are several luxury hotels along Belle Mare Beach, but if you’re looking for a smaller hotel with personal service, SALT is by far our favourite. This was our sixth stay, and we already can’t wait for the seventh. The beachfront rooms are about 20 metres from the water’s edge, with only a stretch of white sand between you and the sea. A hotel can have every amenity imaginable, but what makes a stay special is the people. The team at SALT puts their heart into everything they do. Their care and service have made our stays stand head and shoulders above any five-star experience we’ve had anywhere else in the world. 🌎 A special thank you to Chef Shiva, Sous Chef Vishan, and the wonderful pastry chef—quite possibly one of the best in the world, and the reason I came home 3 kg heavier! 🤣 The whole kitchen team makes food filled with love. Thank you to Med and Vish and their brilliant service team, including Rewa, Bhool, Daram, and so many others who were always there when we needed them. At the bar, thank you to Faraaz for the best coffee, and to Bhavish, the Tom Cruise of Mauritian cocktails, for my unforgettable “Bhavish specials.” 🍹 Thank you, Queenie, for keeping our room spotless, and Vicky, for the beautiful gardens that make the hotel look as fresh as the day it opened. To our friends at the boathouse—Vikish, Vikash, Jordan, Sunjoo, Roshan, and Vanen—your smiles and joy mean so much to us. And to our dear friend Rishi: thank you for always making us feel at home. You are an amazing hotelier. We can’t wait to see you and the whole team again soon. 🏝️

I had the most wonderful stay at SALT of Palmar. Everything was incredible, from the beautiful hotel to the genuinely kind and attentive staff. A very special mention to the SALT Equilibrium Spa, which is truly unique and was one of the highlights of my stay. Tahirih, the Spa Manager, and Puspa were absolutely amazing. They created completely bespoke treatments for me. Their kindness, expertise and attention made it truly special. I had an exceptional stay from beginning to end and will definitely be coming back. I couldn’t recommend SALT of Palmar more!

We had honeymoon of our dreams at Salt of Palmar. 😍 The hotel itself is beautiful building with great colorful design. Our minds were in rest there. The staff are fantastic. They had great humor and great service. Every single one of them was so helpful but to name a few thank you Nikita for trustful service, thank you Rewa and Vishmay for great and fun service and thank you Pravesh for personal service by the poolside and bringing us stuff knowing we wanted even if we had not ordered them. Cleaning staff did great job, even organizing our personal stuff. Staff in the boat house were also very helpful. Also the staff called doctor to visit us when I had issue with my eye and he was great, and the problem got fixed. And huge thank you to Rishi for helping with our own difficulties with the booking!! We stayed in Band on Beach room which had a beautiful view to the beach, the shower was great. We would have wanted the toilet to have a toilet brush 😄 On the in hindsight we had all inclusive but it did not include all but enough. Still we really liked the food in the hotel, especially the breakfast and local foods. The hotel organized great snorkeling and 5 island trips. Our 5 island trip was whole day trip and it was the best day ever if we don’t include the wedding 😄 the boat driver was the funniest. We also had massage treatment which we enjoyed very much.
