Tropical Attitude

Hi All, We had the pleasure of enjoying the lunch and dinner at Bor la mer Restaurant, tropical, for my aunty's birthday and it was truly a wonderful hospitality experience. Great food, excellent service, and a superb location made our day very special. A special thanks to Mr. Mohammad, who warmly welcomed us from reception and showed us our rooms. He took the time to explain the Tropical attitude and concept, including Teabaz concept different.flavours . Sustainability initiatives, the authentic Mauritian concept, Tabajì – the real Mauritian experience, rooms minibar and bulk shop concepts. Congratulations to all the chefs ( executive chef Roy and Operation F&B team members(Mr Arvin and team) for delivering such memorable cuisine and hospitality.with dedication . We will definitely be back to stay longer and discover more culinary experiences Thank you Arvin and team for the amazing service. Even as mauritian we felt like tourist Thank you to the entire Tropical team.

The staff were all amazing from the moment you check in until the end of my holiday. I wanna say thank you to Deepa for making my Birthday memorable and special who created a spectacular decorations in my room for my special day which I will cherish and forever grateful 🥰

The hotel staff a great, the food above average (Although the premium price for the seafood barbecue was stupidly expensive) and the views are awesome. We had an extended stay due to the closure of the Middle East air space during our stay and the hotel receptionist (Benedict) was very helpful and kind. Rooms were clean and Nazimah left us with amazing towel art each day. The pool (which is necessary) was a big let down it was cloudy and we felt that we could not use it. The other thing is the room we had was the superior but the extra space inside was to the detriment of the outside space which was almost non existent not sure if there are superior rooms on the upper floors but I missed having a balcony or proper terrace. Again I would say that all the staff were very friendly and attentive.

Comfy bed, breathtaking sea view from my room, quiet environment, surprisingly good food, and friendly staff. We got 5-star service, absolutely loved it. Looking forward to staying here again next time we are in beautiful Mauritius!!!

Hotel didn’t feel like a 3 star hotel. Food and staff were exceptional, made the Holliday and they couldn’t do enough for you. Everything we asked, they supplied and were really friendly. Only downside to the hotel is no beach and pool does get dirty quickly, cleaned only once a day, which did spoilt it a little. Room cleaning lady made towel animals every day, became a part of our holiday wondering what we would get, very clever and lady cleaned the room every day and did a fab job. We booked the catamaran trip, whilst it was good, not sure it was worth the money. We hired a car for the day and went to Blue Bay, Port Lewis shopping centre and Flic En Flac beach for the sunset. Driving in Mauritius is interesting, but a good day and make sure you get to Blue Bay early. Would I stay here again, no, the beach was a loss that means I would not want to stay here again, when other hotels were available with beaches, it I would come back to Mauritius.
