Tropical Attitude

Hotel didn’t feel like a 3 star hotel. Food and staff were exceptional, made the Holliday and they couldn’t do enough for you. Everything we asked, they supplied and were really friendly. Only downside to the hotel is no beach and pool does get dirty quickly, cleaned only once a day, which did spoilt it a little. Room cleaning lady made towel animals every day, became a part of our holiday wondering what we would get, very clever and lady cleaned the room every day and did a fab job. We booked the catamaran trip, whilst it was good, not sure it was worth the money. We hired a car for the day and went to Blue Bay, Port Lewis shopping centre and Flic En Flac beach for the sunset. Driving in Mauritius is interesting, but a good day and make sure you get to Blue Bay early. Would I stay here again, no, the beach was a loss that means I would not want to stay here again, when other hotels were available with beaches, it I would come back to Mauritius.

Lovely hotel. Wonderful staff. Beautiful and quiet location. Restaurant was excellent, with nice variety and fresh produce. Nothing was too much trouble for them. An ideal stay for couples and adult groups.

My wife and along with a couple, our best friends, stayed at the Tropical Attitude from 22nd to 31st March 2026. We wanted the cosiness of a small hotel, one bar, one restaurant, one pool just 50 or so rooms, quiet, welcoming, personal, friendly, accommodating, relaxing, no children and the Tropical Attitude delivered it and delivered it in bucket loads. From the reception on arrival through out our stay to the reception on departure nothing in any department was too much trouble, service in all quarters what you would expect from a hotel with more ‘stars’. All the rooms have a sea view; the rooms are spacious and make excellent use of open plan living. They are comfortable, clean, well serviced and our housekeeper provided us with a new ingenious use of towel folding every day. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner was very well staffed with polite good humour and service. The food was varied and delicious, something for all tastes, fresh and well prepared such that you were always getting fresh food not something which had been stewing under a hot lamp. Mealtimes were a treat, always calm and relaxing, no feeding frenzy here. Evening entertainment was varied always good, one or two excellent. The pool area was perfect, a size in which you could swim, depth which allowed you to sit, stand or float, never crowded, quiet and if this was not to your fancy the area right out front of your room was a sheltered, shaded and wonderful view or take the free shuttle over to Iles aux Cerfs each day. All the staff in all departments were personable and interactive but not intrusive, the best of humour and determined we should be enjoying ourselves. Would we go back? Absolutely idyllic for R&R.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Tropical Attitude Resort for 2 nights with my mum and my aunty, and I can honestly say it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. Everything was simply perfect, the warm welcome, the beautiful and comfortable rooms, the delicious food, and most importantly, the kindness and attentiveness of the entire team. My mum and aunty had such a lovely time, and seeing them so happy made this stay even more special for me. A very special mention to Mr D.Prodigson, the General Manager, whose leadership truly reflects in the outstanding service provided by the team. I would also like to express a big thank you to Miss Koosoon from the Spa team, her care and professionalism made our experience even more relaxing and memorable. Thank you to everyone, FO team, FNB Team, Boutique Team, HK Team and the Guest Experience Team at Tropical Attitude for making our stay so amazing. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and heartfelt Mauritian experience.
