Zilwa Attitude

We had always wanted to take a couple’s trip to a tropical destination, and this April we finally fulfilled that dream. We chose **Zilwa Attitude** not for the beach—since the water is milky and you can’t snorkel directly from the shore, and the beach itself feels more man‑made—but because our main goal was to relax during our short 7‑day stay. We were also convinced by the excellent restaurant reviews, and they more than exceeded our expectations. The Resort & Staff From the moment we arrived, the resort impressed us. Every time you enter, you’re greeted with a breathtaking view of the beach and Île Plate. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere—everything was wonderful. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. We especially want to highlight **Ashley**, who works at Lor Disab most of the time. It was a connection at first sight. His work ethic, energy, and positivity are unmatched, and he turns every dinner into an unforgettable experience. We also had the pleasure of meeting **Chef Woody**, whose food was absolutely incredible. It was wonderful to meet him in person and compliment him directly on his outstanding dishes. At Manao, we met another very kind young man—likely the evening manager—who was outgoing, smart, and full of great energy. It truly feels like the staff enjoy their workplace and environment, and that makes all the difference. **Boathouse & Activities** What the beach may lack, the boathouse and its crew more than make up for. They offer snorkeling trips twice a day (it’s best to register one day in advance), as well as a glass‑bottom boat tour, which we did before snorkeling to get a first glimpse of the underwater world. Although the weather wasn’t ideal, the two marine biologists guiding us were incredibly passionate about their work and about protecting marine life. They made us feel completely safe in the water. The corals and marine life are extraordinary and only a 10–15 minute boat ride from the resort. We also enjoyed the variety of activities available. It would be great if, in the future, guests could take kayaks a bit farther out—perhaps as a guided tour to nearby islands if safety is a concern. Offering windsurfing or kite lessons would also be a fantastic addition. Spa Experience We treated ourselves to a massage at the spa. The prices are similar to Europe, but absolutely worth it. A big thank‑you to Cedric and his colleague for a wonderful experience. Zilwa Attitude is a truly special place.

Had a wonderful staycation with my family at the hotel. The atmosphere was relaxing, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and the hospitality was excellent. It was the perfect family getaway and we truly enjoyed every moment. A special appreciation to Mr Shiva and Mr Shetty for the outstanding care, kindness, and attention throughout our stay. Your professionalism and warm attitude made our experience even more memorable. Thank you for making our family stay so special — we highly recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back.

We have just returned from the most wonderful holiday at Zilwa. The hotel, bars, and restaurants are all of a fantastic quality. The staff are extremely friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Whilst I can’t name all the fantastic staff, special shout out to Babita, our housekeeper for her attention to detail and looking out for us, and Jonathon who mixes the most fantastic cocktails. The choices of food and places to eat were fantastic, we did not have a bad meal. The Spa is well worth a visit, we spent half a day at the beginning of the holiday and it really set the holiday up I had not been diving for 26 years, but the dive team at Dodo diving on site gave me a refresher and I had 2 wonderful dives. For any excursions would highly recommend Victor (see hotel Facebook page), who was fantastic, knowledgeable and such a safe driver, we enjoyed the North Island trip, horse riding on the beach, a visit to the Casella nature park, and the 5 Island boat trip which was amazing. You can pre-book a picnic for any days out. We cannot recommend the island and this hotel enough and would love to visit again.

Zilwa just gets it. Good food, beautiful lagoon, and great staff, Shubham included. I live in Mauritius, so I have plenty of choices. Still picked Zilwa. That says it all.

This is our second trip to Zilwa Attitude and I believe that we enjoyed it more the second time. The location is stunning.
