Zilwa Attitude

The Zilwa Attitude is an absolutely wonderful place with an incredibly friendly staff! Right upon our arrival, we were welcomed with warm smiles. Our luggage was taken immediately and brought straight to our room, and the check-in process was completely smooth. Even though we speak hardly any English, communicating with the staff was no problem at all thanks to their helpfulness. Our room was always super clean and tidy; there was absolutely nothing to complain about. The hotel is located on the perfect side of the island, beautifully designed, and features great facilities along with a gorgeous beach. We especially loved the many hotel activities: we used options like stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and pedal boats several times. But we definitely had the most fun playing tennis and volleyball – a really great way to stay active! The absolute highlight of the hotel, however, is the staff. If you treat them with respect, you cannot have a better experience anywhere else. They truly anticipated our every wish! A special highlight was our fishing trip: we brought back a few fish we caught ourselves and asked if it would be possible to have them prepared for us. Head Chef Sanjeet immediately said, "No problem, I'll do that for you!" And I have to say: I have never eaten better fish in my entire life. The spices were perfectly balanced – I was more than thrilled! The Manager Nitish noticed what a great fish we had received and asked us directly if he could organize something very special for us the next day that we wouldn't forget anytime soon. Of course, we gladly agreed. He then had Sanjeet prepare two different types of fish. It was a dream! When you are in Mauritius, you definitely have to try the fish – just ask Nitish, and he will arrange something amazing. A huge thank you for that! We would also like to thank the fantastic service staff for the great time. A very special thanks goes to Diane: she always had a bright smile on her face, was incredibly sweet, and constantly checked to make sure we were doing well. Thank you so much for your hard work! But of course, our thanks also go to all the other service staff members who made us feel so comfortable – after a short time, we didn’t even have to say anything and automatically received our regular table and the drinks we always ordered. Another big shout-out goes to the pizza bakers: as a true pizza lover, I was more than satisfied because there was always fresh and delicious pizza available. A big thank you to you guys! We will definitely come back and can recommend this hotel from the bottom of our hearts!

Spectacular location with a view to die for Rooms comfortable and shower brilliant, great sea views , well thought out, big shout out to iksha our cleaner who kept our room tidy and clean every day and always a warm welcoming every day Staff were so helpful barmen satyam and ayush went overboard to keep us wecolmed and always made sure we had drinks, so friendly and work so hard to keep customers happy The spa and treatments were amazing, I had 3 massages by sharmila who was fabulous so professional and so experienced in her role made me felt confident In her treatments and always made me feel safe The hotel is amazing great facilities but what makes this hotel so great are the fabulous staff who work there Thank you all for making our holiday the most amazing experience x

The hotel was decent overall, but unfortunately, it did not live up to the expectations of a 4-star hotel, especially considering the price we paid. Some aspects of the service and facilities could have been better, and the overall experience did not feel like good value for money. We expected a higher standard of comfort, attention to detail, and customer service for this price.

My wife and I stayed at this beautiful hotel for just under 2 weeks from the 4th of October 2026. We loved the authentic, traditional and relaxed style of the rooms. We found the cleanliness of the room excellent as well as the rest of the hotel. The toilets throughout the hotel were constantly spotless and there seemed to be cleaners present constantly, which was nice to see. The food at the main buffet restaurant and all the A La Carte restaurants was exceptional. We particularly enjoyed the “Kot Nou” restaurant. The food here was amazing and the staff (Mohun, Bibek, Chef Vick, Chef Shristy and Krishna) really made it memorable. It’s vital to note that this hotels entire vibe isn’t just from the stunning views and aesthetics, but from the staff that work within it. They are honestly some of the nicest bunch of people we have ever come across and they really made our honeymoon. We want to say a special thank you to Arvind and Ashley from the Main Bar - they were exceptional. Nitish (food and beverage manager), who made sure the food and drinks were to a high standard and Farad - or “Alibaba Delboy” as he’s called - for making us laugh and selling us the best cashmere on the beach we can take home to our family. During our 2 week stay, there was a comfortable level of guests to the point where we never had to wait for anything. There was always more than enough sunbeds available around the pool and around the beach, even at 10am! The hotel in the day is quiet and relaxing. The hotel has its own private island, which can be reached by a raft that runs regularly from 11am. On this small island is a beautiful beach and a BBQ lunch. We spent the day here with a couple of friends we made and had the best time. Excursions are easy to book via the reps on the beach and for a great price. A big shout out to Denis, who we booked our excursions with and had the time of our lives. It was also very nice to see that there are a few dogs that live around the grounds of the hotel, and are very polite and friendly and are looked after by the hotel. They were a funny addition that we enjoyed seeing. Overall we couldn’t fault the hotel, the food, the drinks, the staff and Mauritius itself. We will definitely be returning!

A clean and friendly hotel with one of the best views we’ve seen when you walk through the reception entrance. It really did set the mood for the rest of the holiday.
