Bahia Principe Explore Coba

It was our first time visiting Bahia Grand Coba and I must say it turned out to be a great experience. The property is grand and vast, well maintained. Customer service was superb and the cleaning staff, waiters and check in desk were on point. Our room was also comfortable and in good condition. Food quality was great and we did not find the buffet repeatable at all. The desert section was the best I have experienced in the Mexico all inclusive so far. Pools are well kept and entertainment , kids club staff really try to give your the best experience during your stay. We also enjoyed the beach, staff were working hard to remove sea weed and plenty of fishes to be near the rocks. The bars service was great. The kids water park really adds to the experience if you have small kids. overall a great experience, we will be back soon.

Hotel facilities are amazing great for kids. Highly recommend the Kids club. Hotel food wasn’t the best not much variety. I’d advise factoring in paying for the extra band to access all hotels.

It’s about 1 hour 30 mins from the airport , check in staff were miserable at every interaction , the men on carts are amazing they are so helpful. The buffet restaurant which is the one you eat at the majority of the time have plenty of things on offer but it’s bland and always cold , the staff in there are lovely though , you can book 3 à la carte restaurants in one week but conveniently most are fully booked yet empty , the Japanese one is fantastic , the chefs are amazing and friendly foods lovely tho it’s a set menu which is disappointing considering your given a full menu prior. La gourmet is the French one , food is delicious , staff fantastic . Children’s entertainment is great the staff are fabulous and there is a variety of nighttime entertainment. The beach is a 5 minute cart ride they find every 10 minutes , the beach itself is tiny with very little sand and the water is full of sharp rocks , very disappointing. The worst part of it is the pool bar and buffet , awful rude staff mainly lady called Selena ,you must be covered up at all times which is ridiculous in the heat and considering it’s absolutely boiling , yet funnily enough those rules seem to only apply to the British . The food is cold and the ice cream had a lizard in it which put us off everything. Poole are good plenty of beds Rooms are immaculate but very very outdated our air con barely worked and the room was 29 degrees on a night Shop in hotel is extortion, 65 for a lilo medicines are triple the cost in the uk , souvenirs are so highly priced , staff were helpful in it tho . You have a market in sight the cart men take you it has a shop called oxxo which is cheaper , on the markets you can’t walk past without being harassed constantly without fail , the prices there are scandalous too You can get a bus 20 mins down the road to a Walmart it’s very reasonable but the staff in there are diabolical too I wouldn’t recommend it’s a 3 star at best and there are far better hotels Beware of airport staff coming through customs they detain certain people and fine them for no reason mainly woman on there own , they are intimidating and take your passport off you until you pay an extortionate ‘fine’ they take your passport off you and separate you from your family then up the fine if you say you can’t pay It’s a beautiful country but I wouldn’t go back On a better note the animals around the hotel are lovely

Can not praise Kids club enough. Ami, Cami, Yuki, Mariana and Fernanda were incredible with my children. These ladies are so friendly and welcoming, and I appreciated that they would send updates and photos of my girls via WhatsApp whilst they were in their care. Rooms were clean and well stocked. Staff were friendly. Restaurants were lovely. However the buffet was awful. Cold food, nothing labelled, kids options were not great (I do have fussy kids but there wasn't even just fries). Food ran out, and the kitchen seemed to struggle to keep up with the amount of people staying at the resort. Some how the food was still cold despite this.

All inclusive included only COBA pool on site. To enjoy the ocean, launch chair, food, drinks, shade under the hey umbrella”s we paid extra $200 dollars per person. The buffet food has less choices than they used to have. To cover up an empty food counters they put up decorations. Our room where we stayed was infested with the cockroaches, we smacked them every day. Mini bar in the room had almost nothing, two sodas, two cans of cheap beer and two bottles of water. Nothing fancy they used to have. This was my last time visiting COBA premises. After many years of good stay, we decided to never come there again. Not worth it. Plus those time shares people at the COBA got so aggressive, they want you to buy their time shares and no other options considered. We were running away from them. They were so annoying. Don’t even look their way, just walk your business.
