Catalonia Royal Tulum

Just spent 6 days at this resort in April 2026. The location is really secluded which is exactly what we wanted for a relaxing week. The resort itself is relatively small compared to some of the others we stayed at (TRS Yucatan, Bahia Principe). The crowd is mostly older more mature adults . This is not a party resort which again is what we wanted, so it was perfect for us . The beach is gorgeous, the rooms were spacious and clean. The bed was absolutely amazing, it was extremely comfortable. We want to make sure we specifically recognize a staff member, her name is Quetzabel. She works at the palapa buffet and is an absolute ray of sunshine every day. You can tell she genuinely cares about you and your experience. She makes an effort to remember people's names every day. She truly made our experience feel so much better. I hope management reads this and acknowledges her commitment to providing a lasting guest experience.

This was our first time at Catalonia, but we had a great time. The entertainment staff made up of Diego, Eddie, Paulina, Cuella and Leo - was super friendly and really got to know us. Quetzabel at the buffet was so welcoming and greeted us every day with a smile. The staff at BLoved was so friendly and went out of their way to get us anything we could possibly want. Our room was always clean and ready for us when we returned from a day at the beach or in the pool. Discovering the wildlife on the property - coatis, beautiful birds and even monkeys - really made each day that much more exciting! We really enjoyed our stay!

The service was absolutely great. Activity team led by Diego made sure everyone had a fun time each day and night. Eddy and Paulina were also super friendly. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Lunch was slightly lacking in choices. All the dinner restaurants were excellent. The wine selection was the best I've seen in Mexico. For the price, you can't beat this place. The pool was clean. The beach was beautiful. Looking forward to returning

We had a truly fantastic week at Royal Catalonia Tulum! Great location, beautiful setting, good food and a beautiful beach. Shoutout to the great work done by the animation team (Paulina, Diego, Cuellar, Edy) and the entire staff (restaurants, bars, reception desk, every day. Couldn’t ask for more. Thanks for everything!

Entertainment staff is wonderful, engaging and friendly! We enjoyed aqua gym and pool games very much. Diego, Eddie, Paulina and Cullar are all very friendly and a lot of fun.
