Catalonia Royal Tulum

This is a beautiful, boutique size resort with a very chill atmosphere. A quiet location, tucked into the coastal jungle with few neighboring resorts. We enjoyed waking up for breakfast on going on morning beach walks. Quetzabel at La Palapa is exactly the type of service worker who makes you feel like family at a small resort like this. We were in awe at her ability to memorize small details and names of all of her guests, she is definitely a bright person to start off your day. The food was decent at the restaurants we ate at, although a disappointing cancellation of Tao Cat (the restaurant by far with the most romantic/ambient atmosphere) closed due to weather, was the only big disappointment during our stay. We made quite a few friends hanging out at the pool area and enjoyed the activities offered when they were available. The crew works hard in the morning to remove the sargassum and keep the beachfront clean and enjoyable. I do wish the website would be updated to account for the current restaurants and bars, as that was not accurate to what is on site. We LOVED the baby coatis all over the property, they are so cute!

Quetzabel and staff were extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful with any questions that we had. I would definitely recommend Catalonia Royal Tulum to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

We came to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary and this was the best and most fabulous holiday we have ever had. The room was kept spotlessly clean, all the bar staff were friendly, the girls working on beach, Monica, Mildred and Martina were very attentive and the staff in all the restaurants were great, breakfast and lunch staff Sandy, Angeles and Questabel were lovely, thanks also to Daniella from customer services for her help.

Amazing location, amazing food, amazing staff, great activities, stretching, volleyball, darts, great shows in Rauxa, entertainment team were great, Shoutout to Paulina, Diego, Leo, Samuele, Edy, Chiro, and Ruben from bellboy, great staff from photo company. The show Kroma was amazing, you could see the amount of work and talent. Restaurants were great, waiters too. Quetzabel from La Palapa bufet was amazing.

Our stay here was amazing. We enjoyed everything in here. The staff is wonderful. We want to give special thanks to Quetzabela who is definitely the gem of this place. Every time we came to the LaPalapa restaurant she was there to greet us, to walk us to our tables, and make sure that any our needs were met. Also special thanks to the guys at the pool bar Wilbert and Sol. We had some great conversations, and they were always amazing in cocktails mixology All the restaurants were awesome, but the Adelita and Steakville were absolute best. The beach and the location of the hotel is also amazing, very close to Tulum and at the same tame far away from noise of the city. We stayed in the superior room, and yes it’s a little old and design is a little outdated but it was perfectly clean with super comfy beds and had everything you’d expect from a standard room. We didn’t here our neighbours or the sounds from outside. Great value for its money. The only drawback was the Tequila bar and staff working there. Very unenthusiastic, poor in communication and didn’t smile at all. Other than that-thank you Very much for amazing vacation
