Hotel Platinum Yucatan Princess

Just stay at this the platinum Yucatan princess and it was amazing the food and service in the buffet restaurant My hostess Karen always had a welcoming smile always polite. I had one favorite waiter Gerameel and Bryan they both knew what I liked and would make recommended choice. I could not believe how clean they kept the resort. I would also like to thank all the other staff for such a great vacation and see you next Sept.

I had an amazing week at this hotel. Arrived on 17th September, my room was beautiful and in great condition, I overlooked the quiet pools in Block 2. Very warm welcome on arrival, and the bell boy who escorted me to my room was friendly and knowledgeable. I was up very early the first few mornings, the sunrises at the beach are amazing. I emailed the hotel before I booked to enquire about availability of gluten free options and had a very favourable response within minutes of sending my email, and ended up booking just 5 days before I arrived. I have to say they looked after my diet really well during my stay. I found the staff at the hotel to be very friendly and they all seemed very happy too, always a sign of a good hotel. Also my fellow guests were generally the same. The entertainment was pretty ok, alway something going on at the activity pool, and the evening entertainment was pretty ok. I came to relax and definitely managed to chill while I was here. I will definitely return. Keep up the good work 👏

Having been here before, we were expecting a certain level of service, which we received on the most part. On a couple of occasions, we were let down quite badly but on the whole, our trip has been good because of the staff including Bryan, Armando, Elena, Abel etc, in the Yucatan restaurant. The other restaurants were not so good.

Great hotel, little bit quiet when we visited but not complaining about that. First connection on arriving at the hotel was with Javier, an absolute gem of an employee and a fantastic ambassador for the hotel! We also extend our thanks to staff in the buffet in the morning, Manager Fernanda, Hostess Karen and Waiters Estanislao and Gerameel who made our stay very pleasurable, thank you so much!

Overall, we enjoyed our time at PYP. Check in was painless and very friendly, even at the late hour we came in. We have food allergies in our group and the kitchen was very accommodating. The staff at the buffet (special thanks to Fernanda, Armando, A. Rosemberg and Karen the hostess for being especially fantastic!) and the restaurants were always available to help and explain the menu and choices. The entertainment in the theater was very good and very professional. We went most nights. The swim up bar pool was boisterous, the entertainment there wasn't our cup-of-tea but people looked like they were enjoying themselves. The pool by the beach was much more calm but the smell of sarghassum was strong at this time of year. The hotel is quite large but not as big as the neighbouring Sunset which you have full access to and has a trolley that runs all day. We used the sport park quite a bit. Archery, shooting, pool, paddle boards and exercise classes were all included and were very well organized. There is also tennis, pickle ball and basketball courts which we also used. The gym was also well appointed. The only downside I would say is there wasn't an actual disco but there was a place to dance from 11 until 1 which we only went to once on the day there was karaoke. The music was overly loud and wasn't very appealing. All in all, if you like good entertainment and good food, with excellent service this is a good hotel.
