Riu Yucatan

Out of the 20+ different resorts we have been to, this is by far the best one when it comes to perfection. From the minute we walked in and dealt with the check-in staff (Selen 🫶🏻💕) to the last second, it was the best most amazing experience. We went March 2026 for 10 days, and no one got sick or had anything negative to say. Our friends thanked us a million times for choosing this place. We are definitely going back to this resort next year. Can’t wait ❤️

Currently here and opinion below: Definitely not a 5 star hotel, 3.5 at best. Stayed at much better 4 star resorts. Pros: - comfortable bed - staff are friendly Cons - I have had some kind of food poisoning/diarrhoea most of the time here. - food average at best. - if you’re not up and out at 8am latest don’t expect a sun lounger. - because of the party on a Friday been kept awake by drunk guests. Not helpful when we have a baby with us. Not terrible but certainly not good enough. Wouldn’t recommend

We had an all-round great experience here. The property is beautiful and well maintained. Our room was comfortable and a good size. The outdoor balcony was quite big with seating. Our maid service was excellent. There are numerous daily activities in different places on the property for those who want to participate. The beach was groomed every morning. The food is good. Some of the a la carte meals were excellent.

Santos the best bartender at the beach bar. Nice white party on friday at Riu Tequila. The beach is the best. Nice accès to Plaza Playacar and Playa Del Carmen. Best location resort.

5th time at the Yucatan and another wonderful 11 nights, built into the jungle with the fantastic wildlife and sounds just makes this place. The staff are so hard-working and welcoming, the food is fine and the Caribbean Sea as crystal clear as it always is at this time of year. You can relax or have fun. The resort is close to needing a few refurbs but who cares - 11 days of sunshine and people watching, ill be back. Thanks Yucatan
