We had a lovely holiday overall, and there were certainly some highlights, but there were also a number of things that really let the resort down. The positives The rooms were lovely and the majority of the staff were fantastic, particularly some of the restaurant servers who were warm, friendly and genuinely made an effort. The steak restaurant was a particular highlight. The staff went above and beyond for my partner’s birthday, singing to him and making a real fuss. It was such a lovely experience and exactly the kind of service you hope for on a special occasion. The teppanyaki restaurant was also very good. The shop near the kids’ area was another positive. Although still expensive, the staff were lovely, welcoming and allowed you to browse without constantly following you around. The negatives Unfortunately, there were also quite a few things that disappointed us. The drinks were extremely watered down, which was particularly frustrating at an all-inclusive resort. Also, the coffee shop looks good but the coffee is so weak!! The entertainment was also quite underwhelming and could definitely be improved. One of my biggest frustrations was the whole Diamond Club/VIP/Hideaway concept. In my opinion, it creates an unnecessary sense of segregation and can make other guests feel as though they are somehow less important. We paid around £4000 for 14 nights all-inclusive for two people, so the expectation is that an all-inclusive holiday should feel inclusive. The pricing of the Bali beds was particularly difficult to understand. Packages started at around $180 per day, with champagne and beers included. We saw the beds sitting empty most of the time and only saw them being used around four times during our two-week stay. It seems like a very strange pricing strategy when they could potentially be used much more frequently at a reasonable price, although I still feel they should just be included as the usual beds are so uncomfortable!! It was my partner’s birthday during our stay, so I negotiated to use a Bali bed (for 1 day) without the alcohol package for $80. However, arranging this was far more difficult than it should have been and took four separate visits to the concierge. I had even given the concierge balloons to use, but they weren't used. Instead, they provided their own balloons, which kept bursting every few minutes, so we eventually took them down ourselves. The bed was also supposed to be decorated and ready for us when we arrived at the pool around 9:30–10am. It wasn't — it was still being decorated when we arrived, which unfortunately took away much of the surprise. I was also told that I could pay for the Bali bed at checkout, despite offering to pay immediately upon booking. Then, on the day itself, I was chased around the pool by a waiter with a card machine to collect payment. For a resort of this calibre, I found the whole experience very impersonal and not what I would expect from a luxury resort. The concierge was also the one area where we consistently found the staff to be rude and unenthusiastic, which was disappointing given that this should be one of the main guest-service areas. Another issue was the constant upselling. Every day there seemed to be someone trying to sell us excursions, spa treatments, photography or something else. Being repeatedly asked if we wanted photos taken, followed by the extremely high prices, became particularly tiresome after a few days. The shop near the photography area was another disappointment. The prices were ridiculously high — we were quoted around £41 for a bottle of calamine lotion! — and the staff, particularly Anna, followed us around constantly rather than allowing us to browse. We actually spent over £100 in the shop, but despite that, we still felt as though we were being treated with suspicion. On one occasion, some young American guests came into the shop without shirts or shoes and carrying drinks, yet they weren't followed around in the same way. The whole experience made us feel uncomfortable. If the prices were more reasonable, I honestly think the shop would sell far more. By comparison, the shop near the kids’ area was a much more pleasant experience because the staff were friendly, welcoming and simply allowed you to browse. Restaurants As mentioned, the steak restaurant was fantastic and the staff made my partner’s birthday really special. The teppanyaki was also very good. Unfortunately, the other restaurants were much more mixed. The Caribbean restaurant was nothing particularly special, and the dish we wanted from the menu had run out. The service also wasn't great. The TexMex restaurant was probably our biggest disappointment. The food itself was okay, but the experience was really let down by the service. Our waitress was extremely inattentive, which made the whole meal frustrating. Overall We had a good holiday and there were definitely some great moments, particularly thanks to the wonderful restaurant staff and the lovely rooms. However, for the amount we paid and the level of resort being advertised, we expected a more consistently premium and welcoming experience. The constant upselling, the VIP/segregation concept, the issues around the Bali bed, and some of the service left us feeling that the resort was more focused on extracting additional money from guests than making them feel genuinely valued. There is a lot of potential here, and when the staff get it right, they really do get it right. But there are several areas that need attention if the resort wants to deliver the luxury experience that the price tag suggests.

This was my second trip to Cancun, worst experience. I traveled with my husband and family ., it was my Birthday weekend and Anniversary and they completely ruined my stay. My mom is handicapped and I specifically stated that on our reservation and no accommodation was done. Stay away from this resort. Everyone had such a bad attitude., the bartenders by the pool were always kind. The food was good. The drinks were ok. There are raccoons at this resort. We couldn’t get in the beach there are crocodiles 🐊 stay away
