The service and food was extraordinary, would definitely recommend!

Beautiful atmosphere, great food and a good time

The resort is small, which we like because everything is close. The buffet was pretty good, and you don’t need a reservation to dine at the 3 à la carte restaurants. We went to the Asian and Italian a couple of times, as they are air conditioned, and they were pretty good. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioning was not working properly, so we reported it and a worker was sent right away to fix it. We were on the 3rd floor and the shower water pressure was horrible. I was surprised that they don’t refill the fridge at all, maybe that’s the new standard. There was A LOT of seaweed on the beach (mid July) but the workers did their best to clear it. A few people recommended Michele here for excursions. Please BEWARE! We got his card from the pool room at the resort. He works for Premium Service. We booked a catamaran trip to Isla Mujeres for 5 people. He suggested a smaller (30 people) catamaran versus the bigger (100 people) one saying it would be calmer and more comfortable. So that’s what we signed up for, as my dad has mobility issues. Well, they loaded 54 people onto that old boat. There was nowhere to sit, never mind walking around, it was super cramped. They loaded and unloaded us 6 times like cattle, where we had to jump over missing planks on the docks (not an easy task for my dad). Michele assured us that the beach would be private and we’d have access to beach chairs, neither was true. It was a beach for the locals, and the water was roped off about 2 meters in. He also said we could snorkel off the boat for 1 hour, it was a maximum of 20 minutes. The free buffet was disgusting and dirty, so we just had some rice. Overall, the excursion was a horrible experience, and a waste of money (we paid $100 USD per person x 5, so $500). Whatever you do, don’t book with Michele or Premium Service, you will not get what they advertise.

My family and I ate at Xul Ha and the experience received and service was far beyond fantastic. Luis, Leo, Edwardo, and Ivan provided excellent service. Luis especially was our server and provided great hospitality and excellent service and catered to all our needs during dinner service. He even noticed me constantly itching due to the mosquitos and offered me bug spray! Such a keen eye of him. Highly would recommend and would go back! The food was excellent and presentation of food was high quality.

We had a great experience dining at this restaurant. The stuffed chicken was amazing!! The server Luis and manager Eban were very helpful and kind. Thanks for a wonderful evening.
